TLDR: SAP is actively promoting the adoption of Business AI solutions among organizations in Southeast Asia, highlighted by events like the SAP NOW AI Tour. This initiative aims to empower businesses to leverage AI for enhanced productivity, streamlined operations, and strategic transformation, building on recent innovations such as the Joule copilot and the AI Foundation.
SAP is making significant strides in empowering organizations across Southeast Asia to harness the transformative potential of Business AI. A key highlight of this strategic push is the ‘SAP NOW AI Tour Southeast Asia,’ scheduled for July 24–25, 2025, in Singapore. This event serves as a crucial platform for industry peers and SAP experts to explore how Business AI can unlock future growth and drive end-to-end business transformation.
The focus on Southeast Asia aligns with SAP’s broader global strategy to embed AI into every facet of business operations. At its annual SAP Sapphire conference in May 2025, SAP unveiled a suite of innovations designed to democratize access to Business AI and potentially deliver productivity gains of up to 30 percent. Christian Klein, CEO of SAP, emphasized this vision, stating, ‘SAP combines the world’s most powerful suite of business applications with uniquely rich data and the latest AI innovations to create a flywheel of customer value.’
Central to SAP’s Business AI offerings is Joule, its generative AI copilot. Joule is becoming increasingly prevalent and proactive across SAP Business Suite and third-party applications, aiming to provide an ‘always-on AI’ experience that anticipates user needs and delivers deeper insights by combining diverse data sources. By the end of 2025, Joule is expected to be integrated with 100 percent of the most frequently used tasks across SAP solutions, making embedded AI ubiquitous. Specific enhancements include AI-assisted scheduling in SAP Field Service Management (by end of 2025), natural language search and report execution in SAP Fieldglass (by Q3 2025), and deeper integration in SAP Signavio for process recommendations (by Q3 2025).
Furthermore, SAP introduced the AI Foundation, an operating system for all SAP Business AI solutions. This foundation provides developers with a single entry point and a comprehensive set of tools to build, extend, and run custom AI solutions and agents at scale, simplifying AI development and operations. The AI Foundation incorporates existing solutions like Joule Studio, which will offer new skill builder capabilities (Q3 2025) and low-code/no-code custom AI agent creation (Q4 2025), and the SAP Knowledge Graph, enhancing Joule’s accuracy and data exploration capabilities.
SAP is also expanding its library of Joule Agents, which are designed to reimagine business processes and workflows by working autonomously across systems and lines of business. These agents, fueled by real-time business data, span critical areas such as customer experience, supply chain management, spend management, finance, and human capital management.
In a collaborative effort to further accelerate AI innovation, SAP and AWS have launched an AI co-innovation program. This initiative aims to help partners create generative AI applications using Amazon Bedrock and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), addressing complex business, logistics, and supply chain challenges.

The company’s strategy underscores a clear message: organizations not leveraging Business AI in SAP solutions may find it challenging to progress, as embedded AI will be a standard feature by the end of 2025. This necessitates an enterprise-wide Business AI strategy to capitalize on the continuous enhancements and new capabilities being rolled out across SAP’s product suite.
