Visier Unveils Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI Agents to Govern People Data Across Enterprises

TLDR: Visier has launched its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for AI Agents, a significant expansion of its Generative AI strategy. This new offering aims to solve the challenge of unscalable agent integrations by providing a universal connector for AI agents to access and deliver governed people data and analytic insights across various enterprise tools. The Visier MCP is an approved listing on the Anthropic MCP directory and will be available on November 22, 2025, bundled with Visier’s Vee agent as part of the Visier Enterprise solution.

VANCOUVER, BC and NEW YORK – November 13, 2025 – Visier, a global leader in Workforce Intelligence, today announced the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for AI Agents. This strategic move, unveiled at the Outsmart Local conference, marks a significant advancement in the company’s Generative AI strategy, addressing a critical challenge in enterprise AI: the proliferation of disparate, unscalable agent integrations.

The Visier MCP acts as a universal connector, enabling AI agents to seamlessly discover and invoke governed people functions. This ensures that trusted people insights are delivered directly into the enterprise tools where crucial decisions are made. Notably, Anthropic, the creator of the open-source standard for MCP, has already included Visier’s MCP in its connectors directory. The MCP standard has also seen adoption by other major AI providers, including OpenAI and Google DeepMind.

This innovation is designed to meet the intersecting priorities of both Technology and Human Resources leaders. As organizations navigate the complexities of AI deployment, ensuring the responsible use of sensitive workforce data is paramount. The MCP guarantees consistency in metric definitions, such as headcount and labor cost, and enforces adherence to enterprise security policies, which are key concerns for CIOs, CHROs, and Heads of People Analytics.

Ike Bennion, Vice President, Product Management, Platform, at Visier, emphasized the importance of this development: “The market is quickly realizing that building DIY agents on top of context-poor APIs is a recipe for chaos. Our goal is to deliver context-rich Visier analytic insights through our customers’ preferred agentic workflows. We are providing the ‘USB-C for agents,’ a standardized way for IT to connect any agent to a single source of workforce truth that HR trusts. This transforms a complex integration problem into a simple, scalable, and secure solution, fostering cohesive collaboration between HR and IT teams while ensuring data security and enabling transformation through strategic AI agent use.”

The open standard for agent connectivity allows organizations to extend Visier’s powerful analytics engine beyond its native interface, integrating it into existing workflows. By connecting Visier’s governed people data with other enterprise agents, businesses can tackle complex, cross-functional challenges. An example cited is combining Visier People data with sales pipeline data to identify at-risk top performers, a use case demanding both robust data integration and deep analytical insight.

Key benefits of this unified IT and HR strategy include:

Amplify Business Impact and ROI: By embedding trusted, actionable insights directly into any enterprise application or AI agent, organizations can extend the reach of their people analytics investment, leading to better and faster business decisions.

Future-Proof Your AI Strategy: The agent-agnostic platform offers complete flexibility, connecting to any MCP-capable agent like Claude. This allows IT to standardize on a single, secure protocol while empowering business units to innovate with the best tools for their specific needs.

Ensure Consistent, Governed Answers: The system guarantees that every data call aligns with existing enterprise entitlements and data masking policies, providing a fully auditable trail with the option for human-in-the-loop oversight.

Rajesh Sheth, VP and GM, Amazon Bedrock, commented on the collaboration: “We are excited to see Visier extend its people intelligence capabilities with the Model Context Protocol, providing a key piece of the enterprise AI ecosystem on AWS. This new addition is a forward-thinking solution that allows our joint customers to deploy a unified, future-proof AI strategy. By simplifying how agents access secure, consistent people data, Visier is accelerating the ability of organizations to drive transformation through data-informed decisions on our platform.”

Sean Sampoyo, Chief Product Officer of Fuel50, also expressed enthusiasm: “We are thrilled by the agentic possibilities that MCP unlocks within the HCM landscape. This innovation paves the way for enhanced partnership and collaboration with Visier, as Fuel50 continues to redefine internal mobility and champion the retention of critical skills for our customers.”

Availability: The Visier MCP, powered by AWS, is scheduled for availability on November 22, 2025. It will be bundled and sold with Visier’s Vee agent, as part of the Visier Enterprise solution, at no additional license cost. Visier plans to demonstrate the MCP in action at AWS re:Invent in Las Vegas, from December 1-5, further solidifying its role in the AI ecosystem.
