Kraken Bolsters Pro Platform with Acquisition of AI-Driven Trading Automation Specialist Capitalise.ai

TLDR: Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has acquired the assets and technology of Capitalise.ai, an Israeli firm specializing in no-code, natural-language trading automation. This strategic move aims to integrate advanced, AI-powered trading strategy capabilities into Kraken Pro, enabling users to design, test, and execute complex trading strategies across various asset classes without requiring coding expertise. The functionality is expected to roll out in phases later this year.

Kraken, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, announced on August 20, 2025, its acquisition of the assets and technology of Capitalise.ai, an Israel-based innovator in no-code, natural-language trading automation. This strategic move is set to significantly enhance Kraken’s professional trading platform, Kraken Pro, by democratizing access to sophisticated trading strategies.

Founded in 2015, Capitalise.ai developed a unique platform that translates everyday text into actionable trading strategies. Its core technology leverages a proprietary language model and robust big data infrastructure, capable of processing real-time and historical financial data across a wide spectrum of asset classes, including equities, cryptocurrencies, forex, futures, and options.

The integration of Capitalise.ai’s technology into Kraken Pro is designed to remove significant barriers for traders. Traditionally, maximizing the advanced features of platforms like Kraken Pro has demanded considerable technical skill and deep trading expertise. Capitalise.ai’s solution eliminates this requirement, empowering users of all experience levels to effortlessly design, backtest, and automate intricate trading strategies using simple, intuitive language, rather than complex code.

Shannon Kurtas, Kraken’s Head of Exchange, emphasized the transformative potential of this acquisition. “This acquisition gives Kraken Pro clients a powerful new way to act on ideas in real time—testing, optimizing, and executing bespoke strategies with unprecedented speed and confidence,” Kurtas stated. She further added, “Capitalise.ai’s technology transforms how people interact with financial data—breaking down barriers that have long kept scalable, advanced strategies in the hands of a select few.”

This acquisition underscores Kraken’s commitment to innovation and its ongoing efforts to provide advanced, user-friendly tools to its global client base.
