FoundersX Ventures’ Portfolio Companies Secure Over $120 Million in Series A Funding, Highlighting GenAI’s Impact Across Key Sectors

TLDR: Eight seed-stage portfolio companies of FoundersX Ventures, an AI-first venture capital firm, have collectively raised over $120 million in Series A funding. These investments underscore the significant revenue growth and market traction of AI-powered startups, particularly those leveraging generative AI (GenAI) in cybersecurity, fintech, healthcare, and legal sectors.

SILICON VALLEY, CA – September 26, 2025 – FoundersX Ventures, a prominent AI-first venture capital firm, today announced that eight of its seed-stage portfolio companies have successfully secured over $120 million in Series A funding. This substantial investment round serves as a powerful testament to the robust revenue growth and market traction achieved by AI-powered startups, effectively countering prevailing concerns about the ‘GenAI hype.’

The funded companies are demonstrating strong fundamentals, boasting annual recurring revenue (ARR) figures ranging from $5 million to $20 million. Their success is largely attributed to the accelerating penetration of generative AI (GenAI) across critical sectors including cybersecurity, finance, healthcare, and legal services.

Founded in 2016 by Helen H. Liang, PhD, and Tom Kosnik, PhD, FoundersX Ventures has established a formidable track record, backing over 100 early-stage startups. This portfolio includes eight ‘unicorns’ (companies valued at over $1 billion) and a dozen acquisitions by high-growth enterprises. The firm’s investment philosophy, ‘invest early, win deep,’ is notably inspired by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s ‘$Zero-Billion Unicorn’ venture creation gameplan, aiming to position these startups as future industry leaders.

Among the companies that announced new Series A funding are:

Jericho Security (New York City): A leader in utilizing AI to combat sophisticated AI-powered phishing attacks, Jericho empowers banking, insurance, and telecom clients. The company secured $15 million in Series A funding and has also won a DoD contract in cyberdefense, addressing the rapidly expanding generative AI cybersecurity market.

Alinea Invest (New York City): Founded by two former Wall Street Gen Z analysts, Alinea’s AI-driven wealth management platform currently serves over 1 million Gen Z users. Positioned to become the next-generation Fidelity for retail investors, Alinea raised $10 million in Series A funding and has been featured on CBS News.

Solve Intelligence (San Francisco): This fast-growing platform leverages AI to streamline patent drafting and review processes for intellectual property (IP) law firms. It currently serves over 200 IP firms and in-house teams across the US, Europe, and Asia.

Helen Liang, PhD, of FoundersX Ventures, emphasized the firm’s commitment, stating, “We’re committed to backing founders who define new markets with GenAI.” This sentiment aligns with a broader market trend, as global generative AI spending is projected to surge by 76% from 2024 to 2025.

FoundersX Ventures actively supports its portfolio companies through strategic hubs in Silicon Valley, New York, and Cambridge, MA. These locations facilitate connections between startups and top talent in AI, robotics, and data science from prestigious institutions such as Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, and MIT. The firm also integrates its startups into a powerful venture ecosystem, including collaborations with Big Tech accelerators like Nvidia Inception and Google Startup Accelerator.
