The FinTech industry has demonstrated significant momentum this week, with companies collectively securing over $1.5 billion in funding across 30 deals. This marks a strong start to Autumn, following two consecutive weeks where the sector surpassed $1 billion in total investments. Last week saw an impressive $1.98 billion raised through 27 FinTech deals, largely driven by a single substantial CyberTech investment from Netskope totaling $908 million. This week’s funding, however, showcased a broader distribution of capital, with eight deals exceeding $100 million and the top ten deals alone accounting for a combined $1.3 billion.
Leading the charge was finance automation platform Tipalti, which successfully closed a $200 million growth round. Tipalti is noted for its utilization of AI-powered tools to streamline critical processes such as procurement, supplier management, invoicing, payments, and compliance. Following closely was AppZen, an autonomous finance and AI-powered automation company, which secured $180 million in funding. This round, led by Riverwood Capital, is specifically aimed at accelerating the adoption of agentic AI within its operations. These two significant deals underscore a strong week for the infrastructure and enterprise software sector, which recorded a total of eight deals.
Other notable companies in the infrastructure and enterprise software sector that received funding include Ualett, Tide, zerohash, Light, PredictAP, and Ayoconnect. Tide, for instance, raised $120 million from TPG, pushing its valuation to $1.5 billion, with plans to accelerate international expansion, strengthen its product pipeline, and scale its investment in agentic AI. RegTech and PayTech sectors also showed considerable activity, each closing four deals. RegTech companies securing investments included Signal AI, InCountry, Unit 221B, and OnFinance AI, while PayTech saw funding for Fnality, Cardless, Addi, and Stablecorp.
