TLDR: SolidCore.ai has officially launched from stealth with $4 million in seed funding to tackle the critical challenge of integrating generative AI (GenAI) into enterprises while maintaining robust security, compliance, and governance. The company, founded by cybersecurity veterans Eric Chiu and Hemma Prafullchandra, offers an immutable system of record for GenAI applications, providing real-time visibility, continuous monitoring, and audit-ready evidence to ensure secure and compliant GenAI deployment.
MENLO PARK, Calif. – September 24, 2025 – SolidCore.ai, a new player in the cybersecurity landscape, has emerged from stealth mode today, announcing a successful seed funding round of $4 million. The investment, led by Runtime Ventures with participation from Epic Ventures and prominent angel investors in the cybersecurity sector, aims to address the significant ‘trust gap’ enterprises face as they rapidly adopt generative AI technologies.
The company was established last year by seasoned cybersecurity leaders Eric Chiu and Hemma Prafullchandra. Their mission is to empower enterprises and large organizations to confidently build and deploy GenAI applications, a pressing need given that 70% of legal, compliance, and privacy leaders identify rapid generative AI adoption as their top concern.
SolidCore.ai’s core offering is an immutable system of record, deployed entirely within the client’s cloud environment. This system forms the bedrock for robust risk identification, tracking, and resolution, enabling organizations to secure the entire lifecycle of deploying Large Language Model (LLM)-based applications and agents.
“Enterprises are facing enormous pressure to capture the value of GenAI or risk being passed by the competition. With SolidCore, they can deploy GenAI applications at the speed innovation demands, confident that threats and compliance risks will be flagged in real time,” stated Eric Chiu, co-founder and CEO of SolidCore.ai. He further elaborated on the parallels with previous technological shifts, saying, “The first wave of enterprise migration to the cloud drove massive business value, but it opened significant security and compliance gaps. The stakes are even higher with GenAI, and SolidCore gives enterprises the missing infrastructure layer they need to move with speed.”
The comprehensive solution provides real-time visibility into every LLM prompt and response, continuous monitoring, and audit-ready evidence. This is achieved without hindering development and deployment velocity, a crucial factor for innovation. The platform is designed to instantly alert organizations if their GenAI applications access or share unauthorized information, notify CIOs of new GenAI projects bypassing governance, or flag reconfigurations of existing applications to use unauthorized models. It also helps detect if sensitive information bypasses guardrails or if guardrails are even being utilized. Furthermore, the system can alert teams to an overwhelming number of requests, potentially indicating a denial-of-service attack or financial anomalies.
SolidCore.ai has already garnered significant industry recognition, forging partnerships with all four major AI infrastructure providers: NVIDIA Inception, Google Cloud Builders, Microsoft Founders Hub, and AWS Activate. This makes it one of the few seed-stage startups to achieve such broad industry backing.

David Endler, co-founder and General Partner of Runtime Ventures, commented on the market need: “Right now, every enterprise leader we meet is pushing to unlock the promise of generative AI. However, they’re also deeply concerned about what they can’t see: compliance pitfalls and unpredictable model behavior.” He added, “Eric and Hemma know this challenge better than anyone.”
