The University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College (UA-PTC) has revolutionized student engagement and support through the successful implementation of ‘My Agent,’ a generative AI-powered assistant integrated into its campus mobile app. This innovative solution, developed in collaboration with AWS Partner Modo Labs, has led to a remarkable 253% year-over-year increase in unique visitors to Enrollment & Admissions content within the app, demonstrating a significant enhancement in how students access vital information and services.
Launched in May 2025, ‘My Agent’ quickly became the most-used feature in the UA-PTC mobile app, achieving an impressive 94.5% user adoption rate and accounting for 21.8% of all app traffic. This AI agent allows students to ask questions in natural language and receive accurate, real-time responses drawn from official campus resources. It streamlines access to critical services such as registration, financial aid, and advising, saving valuable time for both students and staff.
Dr. Summer DeProw, Chancellor of UA-PTC, emphasized the institution’s commitment to student success through innovation. ‘My Agent is already transforming how our students access information,’ she stated. ‘We’re proud to be among the first community colleges to leverage generative AI technology in this way to better serve our campus community.’ The early impact highlights students’ daily reliance on ‘My Agent’ for navigating various aspects of campus life, from enrollment processes to general campus resources.
Beyond the overall engagement surge, the ‘Future Student’ persona within the app saw a 140% increase in views, indicating that prospective students are actively utilizing the app to guide them through the enrollment journey. This success underscores the agent’s effectiveness in providing intuitive, fast, and reliable self-service tailored to the unique needs of higher education.
