TLDR: Hexaware Technologies and upGrad Enterprise have joined forces to establish the Agentic AI Academy. This strategic initiative aims to equip Hexaware’s global workforce with advanced skills in Agentic AI systems, building on their existing generative AI investments and preparing employees for the next phase of enterprise AI evolution.
Hexaware Technologies, a prominent global provider of IT services and solutions, has announced a significant partnership with upGrad Enterprise, the corporate skilling and workforce development division of upGrad. This collaboration marks the launch of the ‘Agentic AI Academy,’ a specialized training program designed to advance Hexaware’s global workforce capabilities in the rapidly evolving field of Artificial Intelligence.
The academy’s core objective is to prepare Hexaware’s employees for the ‘next evolution in enterprise AI: Agentic systems.’ This initiative is a natural progression, building upon Hexaware’s substantial two-year investment in generative AI technologies. The program specifically targets enhancing the generative AI (Gen AI) skills of over 100 employees, aligning with Hexaware’s broader strategic goal of becoming an ‘AI-first organization.’
Participants in the Agentic AI Academy will undergo comprehensive training to emerge as ‘skilled Gen AI architects.’ These professionals will be empowered to develop innovative solutions, effectively tackle complex business challenges, and guide clients toward achieving their objectives through the strategic application of cutting-edge AI technologies. The curriculum is structured to include a blend of instructor-led sessions and flexible online learning modules, requiring a commitment of 7-8 hours per week over a six-month period.
Selection for this highly competitive program will be based on a rigorous assessment process. A panel will evaluate employees primarily on their technical and programming expertise. Priority will be given to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance over the past two years and have successfully completed both the Gen AI Foundation and Gen AI Advanced courses. Furthermore, candidates with a strong background in deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) will receive additional consideration.
Leaders from both organizations have expressed strong enthusiasm for the partnership. Satyendu Mohanty, Executive Vice President & Global Head of Talent Supply Chain and Learning & Development at Hexaware, stated, ‘Our collaboration with upGrad is a key part of Hexaware’s strategy to rapidly build our workforce’s Gen AI capabilities. By investing in our employees, we are not only preparing them to excel in a rapidly changing technological landscape but also ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional value to our clients. This initiative underscores our commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.’
Satyajith Mundakkal, CTO for Digital ITO and Gen AI Services at Hexaware, added, ‘Our collaboration with upGrad marks a step forward. By empowering our employees with advanced skills in Gen AI, we are enhancing our internal capabilities and cultivating a team of Gen AI architects. We look forward to these architects designing innovative solutions that will drive value for our clients.’
