This update allows educators in Microsoft-centric environments to seamlessly utilize Brisk’s AI tools within applications like Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive, enhancing lesson planning, feedback, and differentiation.
Brisk Teaching, an innovative AI-powered education platform catering to K-12 schools, has unveiled a major product update, bringing its comprehensive suite of classroom tools into Microsoft-based environments. This strategic integration, effective August 2025, marks a significant expansion for Brisk, which was originally developed as a Google Chrome extension.
The new capabilities allow teachers to seamlessly use Brisk with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint files. Educators can now log in using Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) and directly save their work to OneDrive. Furthermore, Brisk is now available as a Microsoft Edge add-on, broadening its accessibility to a wider range of educators. AI-generated content from Brisk, such as quizzes, adjusted reading levels, activities, and feedback, can be exported directly back into Word or PowerPoint formats, streamlining sharing and storage. Teachers can also access existing files from OneDrive, apply Brisk’s AI tools, and save the results back to the same platform.
Arman Jaffer, Founder and CEO at Brisk Teaching, emphasized the importance of this update, stating, “This update has been a top request from teachers using Microsoft. By integrating directly into the tools they use every day, we’re helping more teachers reclaim time and better support their students without the stress of learning a new platform.” This integration is designed to support Microsoft-first schools and districts, enabling more educators to leverage AI-powered assistance within their familiar workflows.
Brisk Teaching’s AI assistant is designed to save teachers time on critical tasks such as lesson planning, providing feedback, and differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs. The company has gained significant traction, with over 1,000,000 educators worldwide reportedly using its tools. The announcement follows Brisk Teaching securing $6.9 million in total funding, including a $5 million seed round led by Owl Ventures. This capital is earmarked for team growth, accelerating product development, and expanding the company’s international footprint.
