Kinaxis Unveils Maestro Agents to Revolutionize Supply Chain Orchestration with Advanced AI

TLDR: Kinaxis Inc. has launched Maestro Agents, an AI-powered solution embedded within its Maestro platform, designed to accelerate decision-making and enhance resilience in global supply chains. These context-aware digital co-workers help planners move swiftly from identifying issues to taking action, leveraging AI to understand complex scenarios and trade-offs. The introduction of Maestro Agents marks a significant step in Kinaxis’s vision for an ‘agentic era’ in supply chain management, with further expansions like Maestro Agent Studio and an agent marketplace planned for the future.

OTTAWA, Ontario – October 17, 2025 – Kinaxis® Inc. (TSX: KXS), a global leader in supply chain orchestration, today announced the launch of Maestro Agents, an innovative AI-powered solution set to transform supply chain management. Embedded natively within the Kinaxis Maestro® platform, these new agents are designed as ‘AI-powered context-aware digital co-workers’ to empower planners, enabling them to transition faster from identifying issues to implementing solutions, thereby converting disruptions into opportunities and bolstering the resilience of global supply chains.

This launch represents a pivotal milestone in Kinaxis’s commitment to AI-enabled decision intelligence. Unlike conventional AI assistants that operate externally, Maestro Agents are integrated directly into live planning environments. This allows them to grasp the intricate context, constraints, and trade-offs inherent in supply chain processes, facilitating collaborative planning rather than prescriptive automation.

Industry experts have lauded Kinaxis’s approach. Eric Thompson, Research Director at IDC, commented, “Flexibility and guardrails are essential if companies are going to trust and scale AI. With Maestro Agents, Kinaxis is showing what practical, explainable AI looks like in enterprise operations by embedding agentic capabilities directly into live planning environments so organizations can test, learn, and grow safely and effectively.”

For supply chain planners, Maestro Agents offer a new level of support, enabling them to monitor, predict, and take real-time action, automating critical tasks such as inventory management and disruption mitigation. John Finnigan, Senior Director, Advanced Planning, noted, “Kinaxis agents are already helping our planning team collaborate more effectively with customers and contract manufacturers.”

Kinaxis’s Maestro platform, an ‘AI-infused end-to-end supply chain platform,’ combines proprietary technologies to deliver comprehensive transparency and agility across the entire supply chain lifecycle, from long-term strategic planning to last-mile delivery.

The company is not stopping here. Kinaxis plans to further expand the Maestro ecosystem with the introduction of Maestro Agent Studio, currently in limited availability, and an agent marketplace slated for 2026. These initiatives will provide customers with a structured pathway to fully harness the potential of AI-driven orchestration.

Furthermore, Kinaxis is enhancing its generative AI capabilities, making interactions with supply chain data more intuitive. This includes the ability for users to query their digital twin using natural language across dozens of languages, receiving instant, insightful answers to complex questions without requiring specialized AI expertise. This builds on the success of Maestro Chat, which has already been adopted by two-thirds of its user base.

Andrew Bell, Chief Product Officer at Kinaxis, emphasized the company’s forward-looking strategy: “At Kinexions 2025, we had a presentation from ExxonMobil that noted how people typically think about disruptions as a negative thing, but our job is to build a supply chain that excels at managing those disruptions. When we do, we have a competitive advantage. Our job at Kinaxis is to provide the tools, systems and capabilities to deliver that competitive advantage to our customers.”
