IBM Unveils Three New AI Agents on Oracle Fusion Applications AI Agent Marketplace, with Further Expansion Planned

ARMONK, N.Y. – October 16, 2025 – IBM (NYSE: IBM) today announced the immediate availability of three new Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents on the Oracle Fusion Applications AI Agent Marketplace. These innovative agents are designed to significantly boost operational efficiency for customers utilizing Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. The announcement also includes IBM’s intention to develop and release complementary AI agents for HR and supply chain functions, leveraging IBM watsonx Orchestrate.

The newly introduced agents, developed by IBM Consulting with Oracle AI Agent Studio, aim to automate critical enterprise processes and common workflows within Oracle Fusion Applications. The three Oracle-validated agents now accessible on the marketplace are:

Intercompany Agent: Streamlines and automates the review of complex intercompany agreements.

Smart Sales Order Entry Agent: Facilitates the sales-order creation process by automatically generating relevant data required for the order-to-cash operation.

Requisition to Contract Agent: Simplifies the intricate workflow involved in converting purchase requisitions into contract purchase orders.

Kaushal Kurapati, GVP of Product Management for Fusion AI at Oracle, emphasized the growing demand for AI agents in enterprise applications. “As AI agents rapidly transform enterprise applications, organizations are seeking new ways to drive productivity, agility, and innovation at scale,” said Kurapati. He added that the new IBM AI agents, seamlessly integrated with Oracle AI Agent Studio, will empower customers to address unique business needs and foster growth with speed and confidence.

Neil Dhar, Global Managing Partner, IBM Consulting, highlighted the collaborative effort. “Oracle and IBM are combining our collective enterprise AI and business transformation expertise to help clients embrace agentic AI as a driver of innovation and competitive advantage,” Dhar stated. He believes these agents will deliver the power of AI directly to joint clients, maximizing their business impact.

Further expanding its commitment, IBM plans to introduce additional supply chain and HR agents built on IBM watsonx Orchestrate. This enterprise-grade AI solution is designed for developing, deploying, and governing AI agents, and runs on a foundation of Red Hat OpenShift AI. Watsonx Orchestrate offers a multi-agent approach, enabling orchestration across both Oracle and non-Oracle applications and data sources.

In a related development, Oracle intends to make the IBM Granite 4.0 family of AI models available through its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Data Science via AI Quick Actions in the near future. This move further solidifies the partnership’s focus on delivering advanced AI capabilities to enterprise clients.
