Vietnam’s AI Innovations Take Center Stage at National Achievement Exhibition

TLDR: Vietnamese artificial intelligence technologies and solutions were prominently featured at the ’80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness’ National Achievements Exhibition in Hanoi. Companies like ADT Global, FPT, and VNPT showcased advanced AI applications ranging from multi-agent systems and generative AI to legal assistants and operational management tools, underscoring Vietnam’s rapid progress and ambition to become a regional AI development hub.

HANOI – Vietnam’s burgeoning capabilities in artificial intelligence were on full display at the ’80 Years of Independence – Freedom – Happiness’ National Achievements Exhibition, held from August 28 to September 5 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hanoi. This expansive event, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, served as a platform for Vietnamese enterprises and institutions to showcase their latest technological advancements, with AI taking a central role.

The exhibition highlighted a strong commitment to AI development, demonstrating Vietnam’s ability to create user-focused, locally-led solutions across diverse sectors including legal aid, education, finance, defense, and entertainment.

Among the standout innovations were the advanced Multi-Agent AI solutions developed by engineers at ADT Global. This cutting-edge technology enables a network of autonomous AI ‘agents’ to interact and collaborate in real-time to solve complex tasks. Visitors at the Ministry of Science and Technology’s booth experienced these AI agents through multilingual, voice-based interactions with mobile robots capable of responding almost instantly and navigating independently while conversing naturally. The Supreme People’s Court also showcased Multi-Agent AI technology applied as a virtual AI assistant for legal support.

FPT Group, a key player in Vietnam’s tech landscape, introduced its ‘AI Nation’ showcase. This comprehensive ecosystem of AI solutions spans education, healthcare, and operations management. FPT, which began researching AI 13 years ago, has developed a robust AI ecosystem encompassing infrastructure, platforms, solutions, and services. The company has established two AI factories, one in Vietnam and one in Japan, equipped with supercomputing AI infrastructure capable of processing trillions of operations simultaneously. FPT’s FPT AI Agents platform, supporting multilingual capabilities in Vietnamese, English, Indonesian, and Japanese, was also featured, demonstrating its ability to improve operational efficiency by 67% and reduce costs by 40% for over 20 million end-users.

VNPT demonstrated its in-house developed VNPT GenAI platform, a generative AI system designed to understand context, learn from real-world data, and provide natural, personalized user interactions, particularly in sectors like banking and finance.

Other notable contributions included MISA’s robot team, which impressed visitors with their roles as tax consultants and receptionists, reflecting the ambition to elevate ‘Make in Vietnam’ AI technologies as part of the national digital transformation journey.

The exhibition underscored Vietnam’s strategic focus on AI, with companies like FPT planning to integrate AI across all ‘Made by FPT’ solutions to position the country as a regional AI development hub.

This national showcase follows other significant achievements in Vietnam’s AI journey. In August 2025, Vietnam ranked among the top four countries at the International AI Olympiad, with its national team excelling in both individual and team events. Earlier in June 2025, Nomi, an AI assistant developed by ADT Global, won the Supernova Pitch Competition at Gitex Asia 2025, one of Asia’s largest tech events, and secured the First Prize in the Gitex Europe Award category, signaling Vietnam’s growing presence on the international AI stage. Furthermore, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung recently urged the rapid replication of the ‘AI Viet Nam Academy’ model nationwide, a program resulting from cooperation between the Viet Nam National Innovation Center (NIC), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), and NVIDIA, aimed at developing a high-quality AI workforce.
