Fujitsu and Palantir Expand Strategic Alliance to Drive AI Platform Adoption Across Japanese Enterprises

TLDR: Palantir Technologies and Fujitsu Limited have signed a new licensing agreement, announced on August 19, 2025, enabling Fujitsu to distribute Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) to its enterprise clients in Japan. This partnership, building on previous collaborations, aims to integrate generative AI solutions into various industries, with Fujitsu targeting $100 million in sales by fiscal 2029.

Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: PLTR) is significantly expanding its presence in the Japanese market through a new strategic licensing agreement with Fujitsu Limited. The agreement, formally signed on August 5, 2025, and publicly announced on August 19, 2025, grants Fujitsu the rights to distribute Palantir’s cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) to a broad spectrum of enterprise clients across Japan. This move is poised to accelerate the adoption of generative AI solutions within critical sectors such as finance, logistics, manufacturing, retail, government, and defense.

The partnership deepens an existing collaboration between the two technology giants, which began in 2020 with a focus on data integration and digital transformation in Japan. This was further solidified in 2023 with a global agreement for Fujitsu to market and distribute Palantir Foundry, a platform for integrated management of large-scale data. The current agreement for Palantir AIP represents a significant evolution, positioning AIP as a core layer within Fujitsu’s Uvance framework, a business model dedicated to addressing societal challenges through technological innovation.

By integrating Palantir AIP with Fujitsu Uvance, Fujitsu aims to empower its customers to rapidly implement generative AI functionalities for advanced data analysis and decision-making. The platform supports the use of preferred large language models (LLMs) within corporate networks, enabling faster optimization of supply chains, automation of business workflows, and enhanced executive decision-making. Fujitsu’s internal trials with Palantir AIP have already demonstrated improvements in staffing allocation, workload reduction, and risk prediction.

Furthermore, the collaboration will see Palantir AIP linked with Fujitsu’s proprietary AI services, such as Takane and Fujitsu Kozuchi, to enhance Japanese language capabilities and introduce business-specific functionalities. This integration will facilitate the rapid deployment of agentic AI for customers with specific Japanese language requirements, offering unified support for generative and agentic AI tasks including scenario simulation, root cause analysis, and proposal generation.

For Palantir, this partnership provides immediate access to Fujitsu’s extensive client network and expands its monetization channels in a region where the competitive landscape for applied AI is rapidly accelerating. Fujitsu, in turn, has set an ambitious target of achieving USD 100 million in sales by the end of fiscal 2029 through the provision of high-value-added offerings and advanced decision-making support powered by Palantir AIP. Palantir will continue to provide the AIP platform, functional enhancements, and technical support to expand its use cases globally, with an initial focus on Japan and planned global expansion during fiscal 2025.
