The investment was spearheaded by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with significant contributions from General Catalyst, Primary Venture Partners, and WiL (World Innovation Lab). This latest infusion of capital brings Tabs’ total funding to over $91 million to date, underscoring strong investor confidence in its vision.
The company’s core mission is to empower finance departments by automating traditionally manual and time-consuming financial operations. Despite advancements in other areas of finance like payments and spend management, critical revenue workflows—such as billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting—have largely remained reliant on outdated ERP systems, fragmented point solutions, and cumbersome spreadsheets. Industry studies indicate that finance teams often dedicate up to 50% of their time to billing and collections, with invoice error rates sometimes reaching 20%. These inefficiencies lead to delayed cash flow, lost revenue, and considerable time wasted on data reconciliation across disparate systems. With an estimated $125 trillion in global B2B transactions annually, the automation of revenue management presents a monumental opportunity.
