Salesforce Bolsters Agentforce with Strategic Acquisition of AI Analytics Innovator Spindle AI

TLDR: Salesforce has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Spindle AI, an agentic analytics platform, to significantly enhance its Agentforce 360 offering. This acquisition aims to empower businesses with advanced AI-driven insights, enabling autonomous modeling of scenarios, forecasting business outcomes, and optimizing decision-making through sophisticated data analysis and machine learning.

Salesforce has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Spindle AI, a cutting-edge agentic analytics platform, in a move set to profoundly impact the landscape of enterprise data analysis and AI-driven decision-making. The acquisition, expected to close in Salesforce’s fourth fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions, will integrate Spindle AI’s capabilities into Salesforce’s Agentforce 360, specifically bolstering its Agent Observability and Self-Improvement components.

Spindle AI specializes in leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to autonomously model agentic scenarios and forecast business outcomes. Its platform is designed to help businesses make faster, more informed, and data-driven decisions by simulating the impact of complex choices, such as pricing adjustments, go-to-market optimization, and sales mix shifts.

The strategic rationale behind this acquisition is clear: enterprises are generating unprecedented volumes of data, yet much of its potential value remains untapped due to technical complexity. Spindle AI’s technology aims to bridge this gap, enabling data to ‘speak a common language’ and providing reliable answers to critical business questions.

Adam Evans, EVP & GM of Salesforce AI Platform, emphasized this vision, stating, “The future of the agentic enterprise isn’t about having the most data, it’s about making that data speak a common language.” Jayesh Govindarajan, EVP Salesforce AI, Agentforce, added, “Bringing Spindle AI – which includes veteran leaders and incredibly talented engineers with deep expertise in advanced agentic analytics and machine learning – onboard will continue our investment in Agent Observability and Self-Improvement to help us deliver custom agentic analytics, ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization for every Agentforce user.”

Spindle AI was co-founded by Ryan Atallah and Carson Kahn, both seasoned technology innovators. Atallah previously founded ClearGraph, which was acquired by Tableau, giving him significant experience within Salesforce’s data ecosystem. Kahn was the founder and CTO of Volley ML. Their expertise in multi-agent systems, machine learning, and high-performance data applications is a key asset Salesforce is acquiring.

The integration will focus on enhancing Agentforce 360 with custom agentic analytics, robust ROI forecasting, and continuous optimization capabilities. This move signifies a shift where AI observability moves beyond technical metrics to directly link AI performance with tangible business impact, such as revenue growth, margin improvement, and risk reduction.
