Mavenir Honored with FutureNet Asia Award for AI-Powered Fraud Defense and Customer Experience Innovation

RICHARDSON, Texas and SINGAPORE – September 18, 2025 – Mavenir, a leading provider of cloud-native network infrastructure, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Customer Experience’ accolade at the FutureNet Asia Awards 2025. The award acknowledges Mavenir’s groundbreaking AI-driven Fraud and Security Suite for its innovative application in improving mobile user experience within the pan-Asian market.

The award-winning suite integrates Mavenir’s globally deployed SpamShield and CallShield technologies, which provide proactive, AI-driven security against messaging and voice fraud in real-time. The solutions have demonstrated remarkable success in real-world implementations.

For instance, Globe Telecom in the Philippines saw a substantial 67% decrease in blocked spam and scam SMS, falling from 1.1 billion in Q1 2023 to 362.8 million in Q1 2024. This was accompanied by a 74% reduction in bank-related spam and a 44% drop in customer-reported scam messages year-over-year. Mavenir’s SpamShield leverages advanced AI/ML and message-fingerprinting algorithms to combat various sophisticated messaging frauds, including SIM-box abuse, grey-routing, phishing, and malware campaigns across SMS, MMS, and RCS.

In Australia, TPG Telecom experienced a significant impact from the combined power of CallShield and SpamShield, blocking nearly 19 million fraudulent voice calls in the first half of 2024. This translates to an average of 103,000 blocked scam calls daily, representing a 280% increase in blocked fraudulent activity compared to the same period in 2023, and preventing the delivery of over 59.6 million scam SMS.

The Fraud and Security Suite is designed to counter the erosion of trust caused by fraud and nuisance calls. Powered by advanced AI and machine learning, SpamShield proactively blocks up to 90% of fraudulent messages. CallShield, with its three dedicated machine learning models and real-time behavioral analysis, effectively neutralizes voice-based threats like IRSF, Wangiri scams, robocalls, and Caller ID spoofing, achieving a near-zero false positive rate.

Beyond enhanced customer experience and safety, Mavenir’s integrated suite also delivers significant operational and financial benefits for CSPs, including improved customer loyalty, reduced complaint volumes, and substantial cost efficiencies, such as reported savings of over USD 500,000 per month in interconnect fees for a Tier 1 operator.
