Krutrim Unveils ‘Kruti’: An Agentic AI Assistant for Proactive Task Management

TLDR: Krutrim, Ola’s AI venture, has launched ‘Kruti,’ an advanced agentic AI assistant designed to go beyond traditional chatbots by proactively performing daily tasks such as cab booking, food ordering, and bill payments. Launched on June 12, 2025, Kruti supports 13 Indian languages, offers voice and text input, and features personalization, aiming to provide a deeply intuitive and capable AI experience tailored for Indian users.

Bengaluru, India – Krutrim, the artificial intelligence startup co-founded by Ola founder Bhavish Aggarwal, has officially launched ‘Kruti,’ an innovative AI assistant poised to redefine user interaction with technology. Unveiled on June 12, 2025, Kruti is positioned as an ‘agentic AI,’ marking a significant leap beyond conventional chatbots by proactively executing tasks rather than merely responding to queries.

Unlike earlier tools focused on passive text replies, Kruti is engineered to carry out a diverse range of everyday activities, including cab booking, food ordering, bill payments, image generation, and in-depth research. This proactive capability is central to its design, aiming to eliminate the need for users to switch between multiple applications, thereby streamlining daily digital interactions.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder of Krutrim, emphasized the assistant’s transformative potential, stating, “Kruti is the first real step towards the future of AI where technology doesn’t just talk back, but actually helps you get things done. We have built Kruti to work the way Indians live: multilingual, mobile-first, and intuitive. It is deeply personal, incredibly capable, and ready to take everyday complexity off your plate. With Kruti, we take a step ahead in building trust, utility, and a truly Indian AI experience for all.”

Designed with the Indian user in mind, Kruti boasts support for 13 Indian languages, accommodating both voice and text inputs. The assistant is also equipped with advanced personalization features, learning user preferences, adapting to usage patterns over time, and remembering past interactions to tailor responses in tone, length, and language. Its multimodal capabilities are powered by Krutrim’s V2 large language model and open-source models, ensuring scalable and cost-efficient performance.

Beyond its core task execution, Kruti offers additional functionalities such as a dedicated research mode, image generation, and read-aloud responses, all available to users at no additional cost. For developers, Krutrim provides an embeddable Software Development Kit (SDK), enabling third-party platforms to integrate Kruti’s AI capabilities, including LLM orchestration, memory management, and tool execution, with minimal coding effort.
