NICOSIA, Cyprus – In a groundbreaking move for European technology, Cyprus has become the launchpad for the continent’s first enterprise-grade agentic AI voice platform for businesses. This pioneering system, a result of a strategic partnership between Eurobank, Fairfax Digital Services, and Voicing.AI, was officially unveiled on June 17, 2025, signaling a new era of intelligent automation.
The platform is designed to empower businesses with advanced AI capabilities, enabling employees to interact with intelligent voice agents for a range of operational tasks. Initially, the technology will be deployed within Eurobank to streamline IT support and other internal functions, offering human-like conversation, contextual understanding, and autonomous task execution. This marks the first enterprise deployment of agentic voice AI in Southern Europe, setting a new benchmark for intelligent workplace automation. Future expansions are planned to cover additional critical areas such as human resources, regulatory compliance, and customer support, promising enhanced efficiency and customer value.
The launch coincided with the historic first official visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Cyprus, where he met with President Nikos Christodoulides. This timing was highlighted by Eurobank as a symbol of a burgeoning new era of collaboration between India and Cyprus, focusing on innovation, digital trust, and joint technological leadership. The platform itself was jointly developed in Cyprus and India, showcasing the strength of this international partnership.
Dr. Nikodemos Damianou, Deputy Minister for Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, lauded the launch as a “powerful vote of confidence in our country’s potential as a strategic hub for next-generation AI technologies—a crossroads where continents, talent, and ideas converge.” He emphasized that this milestone reflects Cyprus’s strong commitment to innovation and emerging technologies, reinforcing the island’s growing reputation as a gateway for AI advancement in Europe.
Michael Louis, CEO of Hellenic Bank, a member of the Eurobank Group, underscored the group’s dedication to technological advancement. He stated that the initiative “underscores the group’s commitment to investing in cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence to enhance customer value and improve operational efficiency.” Sanjay Tugnait, President & CEO of Fairfax Digital Services, affirmed that the platform was co-created with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and human-centric design.
