JSW MG Motor India Unveils Generative AI Chatbots Avira and Vir to Transform Customer Engagement

TLDR: JSW MG Motor India has launched two advanced generative AI chatbots, Avira and Vir, in collaboration with Google Cloud India and AI app developer Riafy. These chatbots, powered by Google Cloud’s PaLM 2 technology, are designed to significantly enhance customer interaction, streamline the car-buying process, and provide comprehensive information on electric vehicles across multiple digital platforms.

JSW MG Motor India has announced a significant leap in customer engagement with the introduction of two generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered chatbots, Avira and Vir. This initiative, undertaken in collaboration with Google Cloud India and AI application developer Riafy, positions JSW MG Motor India as the first car company in India to leverage such advanced digital technology for customer interaction.

The new digital assistants are built on Google Cloud’s PaLM 2 technology, a sophisticated large language model (LLM) developed by Google. They are engineered to elevate and enrich customer interactions and service, offering natural, dynamic, and multilingual conversations that learn and adapt from user interactions over time, progressively becoming more intuitive and effective.

Avira is specifically designed to enhance the car-buying experience. Accessible via text and voice on the JSW MG Motor India website and WhatsApp, Avira assists potential buyers with inquiries about JSW MG cars, providing personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and budget. Its advanced generative AI capabilities ensure human-like interactions, creating a seamless and engaging journey for customers.

Conversely, Vir focuses on empowering users with comprehensive information about electric vehicles (EVs). Available through the EVPEDIA website and WhatsApp, Vir acts as an expert guide, educating customers about the latest innovations in the EV landscape and offering detailed insights to help them make informed decisions about purchasing an electric vehicle.

These chatbots will be accessible across multiple platforms, including the MG website, WhatsApp, EVPEDIA website, and EVPEDIA WhatsApp. This broad accessibility underscores JSW MG Motor India’s commitment to providing real-time, personalized support and enhancing customer satisfaction and trust.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India, commented on the launch, stating, “We continue to leverage technology to redefine customer engagement and operational excellence. In collaboration with Google Cloud, the launch of Avira and Vir marks a significant milestone in our journey to enhance consumer experience.”

Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President and Country MD, Google Cloud India, also expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “We are excited about this collaboration with JSW MG Motor India as they embark on a journey to innovate and reimagine their consumer experience by leveraging our AI platform.”
