TLDR: HMI Medical, a prominent healthcare services provider, has announced its partnership with Workday to implement an AI-enabled enterprise cloud suite across its corporate functions. This strategic move aims to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and leverage AI-driven insights for improved decision-making in areas such as human capital, finance, planning, and contract intelligence.
Health Management International Pte Ltd (HMI Medical), a leading healthcare services provider headquartered in Singapore, is embarking on a significant digital transformation journey by deploying Workday’s AI-enabled enterprise cloud suite. This collaboration, announced with various dates between November 4th and 10th, 2025, marks Workday’s expansion into the Singaporean healthcare sector, with HMI Medical being its inaugural customer in the region.
The comprehensive implementation will see HMI Medical integrate Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Workday Financial Management, Workday Adaptive Planning, and Workday Contract Intelligence, which is powered by Evisort AI. These solutions will be unified under Workday Illuminate, the core AI platform designed to automate repetitive tasks and free up employees for more strategic initiatives.
Chin Wei Jia, Group CEO of HMI Medical, emphasized the importance of this adoption, stating, “Adopting Workday’s AI-powered tools is a key step in building a future-ready workforce at HMI Medical. With AI, we can use data more intelligently, make faster and better decisions, and respond more effectively to the needs of our people. This agility drives our digital transformation and enables us to keep improving care for our patients and communities.” She also highlighted that the new system would address previous inefficiencies caused by manual consolidation processes across over 60 entities.
The deployment is expected to enhance productivity and streamline workflows across the entire organization, which manages over 2,800 staff across Southeast Asia. By leveraging real-time data and analytics, HMI Medical aims to gain a comprehensive view of its workforce, financial data, and operations. This will facilitate smarter decision-making and more agile responses to evolving patient and staffing needs. Beyond HR and finance, executive leadership, legal, and planning and analytics teams are also anticipated to benefit from the unified, integrated system.
