Berlin, Germany – n8n, a prominent AI workflow automation platform for technical teams, has announced the successful closure of its Series B funding round, securing €55 million (approximately $60 million). This significant investment has propelled the company’s valuation to around €250 million (approximately $270 million). The funding round was spearheaded by Highland Europe, with notable participation from HV Capital and existing investors Sequoia, Felicis, and Harpoon.

The capital injection is earmarked to accelerate n8n’s product roadmap, with a particular focus on enhancing tools for business-critical workflows and improving monitoring and observability features. The company also plans substantial team growth across its engineering, product, and go-to-market functions. Furthermore, n8n is set to expand its global footprint by opening new offices in New York and London this year, aiming to better serve its rapidly expanding enterprise customer base worldwide.

Founded in 2019 by Jan Oberhauser, n8n has distinguished itself by offering a ‘fair-code’ platform that combines the flexibility of code with the speed of no-code, all powered by artificial intelligence. This unique approach allows technical teams to seamlessly integrate various large language models (LLMs), incorporate custom code steps, and implement human-in-the-loop mechanisms, ensuring control and compliance. The company’s platform supports mission-critical workflows for over 3,000 enterprises, including major names like Vodafone, Delivery Hero, and Musixmatch.

n8n has experienced remarkable growth, with its annual recurring revenue (ARR) increasing fivefold in the past year and its user base tripling in the last three months, surpassing 230,000 active users. Jan Oberhauser, Founder and CEO of n8n, emphasized the company’s commitment to transparency, customization, and cost efficiency in automation. He stated, ‘Automation shouldn’t be a black box – companies need transparency, customisation and cost efficiency. With n8n, we’ve built more than a platform; we’ve built a community that loves and relies on us. From individual contributors to global enterprises, n8n gives everyone the powers of a 10x developer which is vital given the explosion of AI in the workplace. We’re redefining what AI-powered automation and workflows are capable of.’
