DataDome and TollBit Partner to Enable Real-Time Control and Monetization of AI Agents at Black Hat USA 2025

TLDR: DataDome, a leader in cyberfraud protection, has announced a strategic partnership with TollBit, a platform for AI agent content compensation. This collaboration, unveiled at Black Hat USA 2025, aims to provide businesses with enhanced control and monetization capabilities for the rapidly growing volume of AI bot traffic. The integrated solution offers unified visibility into scraping activity, granular control over AI agent access, and built-in monetization tools like AI agent paywalls.

NEW YORK – DataDome, a prominent cyberfraud protection company, has officially partnered with TollBit, a platform designed to facilitate compliant compensation for websites by AI agents and applications. This significant collaboration, announced at Black Hat USA 2025 (August 6-7), is set to revolutionize how businesses manage and monetize the increasing presence of AI bot traffic on their digital assets.

The partnership addresses the fundamental shift driven by agentic AI, which mimics human behavior at scale for browsing, transacting, and data extraction, blurring the lines between human users and machines.

DataDome’s platform, known for its AI-powered detection that blocks malicious scrapers and threats in real-time, will now be complemented by TollBit’s monetization layer. This integration will allow businesses to identify compliant AI bots and monetize their access.

Key features of this combined solution include unified visibility into all scraping activity, granular control over who accesses content and how, and built-in monetization tools such as AI agent paywalls, customizable pricing, and automated authorization.

The urgency of this solution is underscored by the dramatic increase in AI traffic. DataDome has observed a tripling of AI traffic across its customer base in just six months, rising from 2.6% to 8.2% of all verified bot traffic. In June 2025 alone, DataDome detected nearly 1.2 billion requests from OpenAI crawlers.

Similarly, TollBit’s network, encompassing over 2,200 sites, has seen a 20-fold increase in AI bots blocked and redirected to its Bot Paywall this year. These statistics highlight the critical need for businesses to adapt and gain control over this evolving digital landscape.

DataDome will be showcasing its multi-layered AI platform at Black Hat USA 2025, demonstrating how it provides businesses with full visibility and control over AI agents and Large Language Model (LLM)-driven traffic.

Matt Dalmau, DataDome’s VP of Solutions & Services, will deliver a session titled ‘Friend or foe? Navigating the rise of agentic AI with intent-based defense’ on August 6, from 10:15-10:35 a.m. in Business Hall Theatre E. This session will delve into how intent-based detection can help security teams identify malicious automation and stay ahead of AI-driven threats.

Additionally, DataDome will host a private dinner for cybersecurity and fraud leaders to discuss identifying and controlling agentic AI traffic before it causes damage, emphasizing the need for tighter collaboration between security and fraud teams.

DataDome, backed by a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) and expert threat researchers, autonomously stops over 400 billion attacks annually. TollBit, on the other hand, functions as a ‘toll booth’ for websites, enabling them to monitor bot traffic and monetize their data and content, while providing AI agents with an easy way to pay for that content.
