CodeSignal and AWS Partner to Offer Free Generative AI Training for Over 30,000 Students Globally

TLDR: CodeSignal, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is launching a free generative AI training program aimed at upskilling over 30,000 students and 1,000 faculty globally. This initiative, part of the AWS Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance, seeks to address the growing demand for AI talent and bridge the skills gap in the rapidly evolving technology sector.

SAN FRANCISCO – CodeSignal, a prominent skills assessment and experiential learning platform, has announced an expanded skilling program powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). This initiative will provide new generative AI learning paths at no cost to members of the AWS Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance, encompassing more than 30,000 students and 1,000 faculty worldwide, with access also extended to millions of learners through CodeSignal. The AWS Skills to Jobs Tech Alliance is a global coalition dedicated to closing the skills gap and preparing individuals for in-demand technology roles.

The robust curriculum will initially feature ‘Prompting for Everyone with Amazon Bedrock Models,’ which establishes a strong foundation in Large Language Model (LLM) fundamentals, prompt engineering, and real-world AI automation. Subsequent learning paths will focus on enterprise AI using Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Q, with plans for continuous updates to keep pace with the rapidly evolving AI landscape.

As an AWS Training Partner with Digital Capability, CodeSignal is transforming generative AI education from passive video content into immersive, hands-on experiences. These experiences are designed to equip learners with the practical skills needed to build real-world simulations. CodeSignal’s AI tutor, Cosmo, supports learners by providing personalized feedback and real-time guidance as they master technical concepts. This hands-on approach has demonstrated significant engagement, with learners completing an average of 39 practices each, a rate three to five times higher than standard online learning benchmarks, indicating deeper understanding.

“The fastest way to learn is by doing—and that’s exactly what these paths deliver,” stated a representative from CodeSignal. Aanya Niaz, Global Impact Leader of AWS’s Education Equity Initiative, emphasized, “At AWS, we recognize that building an inclusive AI workforce starts with equitable learning opportunities.”

This skilling opportunity is set to establish a new benchmark for AI education by offering application-driven experiences that directly mirror the demands of modern AI development. Through this collaboration, AWS and CodeSignal are broadening access to generative AI education globally, empowering learners with the practical skills essential for successful employment and effective engagement in the AI-driven workforce.
