TLDR: Bubble Group Inc. has launched its new Bubble AI Agent, a tool designed to integrate conversational AI coding with its visual drag-and-drop app building platform. This innovation aims to overcome the limitations of existing AI coding tools by offering enhanced control, security, and reliability for creating production-grade applications. The company also announced an AI hackathon and future platform enhancements.
Artificial intelligence visual development platform company Bubble Group Inc. announced on October 16, 2025, the launch of its new product, the Bubble AI Agent. This innovative tool is set to revolutionize application development by merging conversational coding capabilities with Bubble’s established visual drag-and-drop interface, enabling users to build production-grade applications with unprecedented flexibility and control.
The Bubble AI Agent directly addresses critical challenges prevalent in current AI coding platforms, such as limitations in editability, concerns over code quality, and issues related to security and reliability for end-users. A recent survey conducted among Bubble users revealed that a mere 9% utilize AI coding tools for business-critical applications, with a significant 72% expressing concerns about potential security vulnerabilities in AI-generated code.
Emmanuel Straschnov, co-chief executive officer of Bubble, emphasized the dual benefit of the new offering, stating, “Developers want the speed of AI code generation, but they can’t risk compromising the quality and security of their production applications. Bubble AI Agent gives you both.”
The platform facilitates application development through two distinct yet complementary methods: visual editing within Bubble’s editor, which provides comprehensive control over design, backend logic, and functionality; and conversational editing via the Bubble AI Agent, which responds to natural language prompts. Users can seamlessly transition between these two approaches, maintaining full visibility and control throughout the development lifecycle.
To mark this significant launch, Bubble has partnered with Anthropic PBC to host an AI hackathon, offering a total of $25,000 in prizes. This event encourages developers to experiment with the Bubble AI Agent and demonstrate applications built by combining AI prompting with visual editing.
In addition to the AI Agent, Bubble also revealed several upcoming platform enhancements slated for later this year. These include a new Property Editor with improved design and integrated AI functionalities, support for in-app purchases for mobile applications, and the direct integration of the Bubble Security Dashboard (formerly Flusk) into the platform.

This launch aligns with Bubble’s broader AI vision, articulated earlier in the year, which aims to integrate AI as a true partner throughout the entire development lifecycle, not just for initial app generation. The company’s strategy focuses on three key stages: ‘Generate’ for quick app creation, ‘Iterate’ for AI-supported improvements and debugging, and ‘Scale’ for enterprise-grade infrastructure. Bubble co-founders Josh Haas and Emmanuel Straschnov have consistently highlighted the company’s mission to enhance communication between people and computers, viewing AI as a natural progression in making technology more accessible and precise.
