LAS VEGAS – August 26, 2025 – Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO) today revealed a significant expansion of its collaboration with NVIDIA, designed to infuse the latest NVIDIA AI technology into VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF). The announcement, made at VMware Explore 2025, underscores a strategic move to accelerate AI innovation within modern private cloud environments.
This enhanced partnership will empower enterprises and cloud service providers to seamlessly build, deploy, and scale advanced AI models on cutting-edge AI servers, all while benefiting from the trusted operational experience of VCF. The integration specifically includes support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, such as the NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Server Edition GPUs, with future plans to accommodate Blackwell B200 GPUs. Furthermore, the collaboration extends to NVIDIA networking solutions, incorporating ConnectX-7 NICs and BlueField-3 400G DPUs with DirectPath I/O, crucial for high-speed, multi-node AI model training and data transfer, particularly for demanding Generative AI workloads.
Generative, agentic, and physical AI applications are fundamentally reshaping data center architectures, creating an unprecedented demand for robust infrastructure capabilities. This expanded integration builds upon the longstanding relationship between Broadcom and NVIDIA, offering a broad spectrum of NVIDIA accelerated computing options. These options are designed to provide increased choice, flexibility, and operational efficiency for AI infrastructure, allowing VCF customers to fully harness NVIDIA’s AI innovations. The enhancements will further strengthen the jointly developed VMware Private AI Foundation with NVIDIA.

Crucially, this integration ensures the preservation of VCF’s core enterprise features, including vMotion, High Availability, and Distributed Resource Scheduler. This guarantees that organizations can run AI/ML applications in conjunction with existing workloads without sacrificing performance or reliability.

Broadcom also announced that VMware Private AI Services will become a standard component of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0, making VCF an AI-native platform. With VCF 9.0 now generally available, customers can adopt a unified, AI-native platform for secure, modern private cloud infrastructure at scale. Broadcom reports significant customer momentum for VCF, with nine of the top 10 Fortune 500 companies having committed to the platform, and customers worldwide having licensed over 100 million cores of VCF.
