The initiative involves strategic collaborations with various partners to design and construct new factories. Specifically, Nvidia is partnering with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas to establish supercomputer production facilities in Texas. These plants are projected to commence mass production within 12 to 15 months from April 2025.
Beyond Texas, Nvidia’s broader strategy encompasses processor production and advanced manufacturing. The company reported commissioning over a million square feet of manufacturing space for the creation and testing of Blackwell chips and AI supercomputers. Processors have already begun production at TSMC’s facilities in Phoenix, Arizona. Furthermore, Nvidia is collaborating with Amkor and SPIL in Arizona for critical aspects such as manufacturing, packaging, assembly, and testing of these advanced AI chips and supercomputers.
