Both new stores are envisioned as more than just retail spaces; they are designed as ‘community hubs’ aimed at fostering creativity, collaboration, and learning. Customers can explore Apple’s full range of products, receive expert guidance at the Genius Bar, and participate in daily ‘Today at Apple’ sessions. These workshops are a core part of the in-store experience, allowing customers to delve into new features, enhance their creative skills, and explore advanced functionalities, including ‘Apple Intelligence features’ on devices like iPhone and iPad. This integration of AI-driven elements aims to provide a more personalized and engaging customer journey.
Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Retail and People, emphasized the strategic importance of these locations. She stated, ‘Bengaluru is the technology capital of India, where customers have a real passion for innovation. Pune, by contrast, is a hub for students and creatives using technology to bring their ideas to life.’ Wendy Beckman, Apple’s VP of Retail Stores for Europe, Middle East and India, further elaborated on this vision, seeing the stores as spaces where educators, developers, creatives, and entrepreneurs can connect and leverage Apple technologies.
The new stores are staffed by diverse and expert teams. Apple Hebbal boasts a 70-member team from 15 different Indian states, while Apple Koregaon Park employs 68 specialists from 11 states. These teams are equipped to assist customers with everything from device setup and switching to iOS to navigating Apple’s Trade-In program and financing options. For added convenience, both stores feature dedicated Apple Pickup zones for seamless online order collection.
Sustainability is a key pillar of Apple’s global operations, and the new Indian stores reflect this commitment. Both Apple Hebbal and Apple Koregaon Park operate on 100 percent renewable energy and are carbon neutral, aligning with the company’s environmental goals.
