The primary goal of Blue Jay is to reduce repetitive physical tasks for employees, improve ergonomics, and optimize space utilization in warehouses.
Currently, Blue Jay is undergoing testing in a South Carolina warehouse. Initial observations indicate that the system is capable of managing approximately 75% of the items stored in the facility, showcasing its potential to support Amazon’s same-day delivery network.
Complementing Blue Jay is Project Eluna, an advanced agentic AI model. This system processes real-time and historical data from fulfillment centers, providing actionable insights in natural language to help operations teams make more informed decisions. Project Eluna is designed to anticipate bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and reduce the cognitive load on operators who typically monitor multiple dashboards. The AI model is being piloted in a Tennessee fulfillment center, specifically for the upcoming holiday shopping season.
