TLDR: Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Workato Inc. have announced a strategic partnership focused on leveraging AI agents to revolutionize workflow automation. This collaboration aims to move AI from the periphery to the core of enterprise operations, enabling businesses to integrate applications and data, accelerate innovation, and even generate new revenue streams through advanced agentic AI platforms.
In a significant move poised to redefine enterprise operations, Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS) and Workato Inc. have unveiled an agentic partnership designed to propel AI workflow automation to unprecedented scales. This collaboration positions AI agents at the heart of streamlining business processes and integrating disparate systems across organizations.
Mona Chadha, Director of WW Infrastructure Partners for AWS Center of Excellence, highlighted the transformative nature of this alliance during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, at the WOW: World of Workato event. Chadha emphasized that AI is no longer a peripheral tool but is moving to the core of enterprise functions. “Now it’s actually going to the center, to the core of the enterprise, and this doesn’t sit in the edge anymore,” she stated.
The partnership leverages Workato’s Genie no-code platform, designed for building and managing AI agents, in conjunction with robust AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock and the newly previewed AgentCore. This synergy enables customers to seamlessly integrate applications and data, facilitating the scaling of complex business tasks.
Workato’s platform incorporates models from leading providers like OpenAI Inc. and Anthropic PBC, offering a comprehensive resource for businesses venturing into agentic AI. Chadha noted, “What Workato has done is helped us with getting customers up and running, getting them to build out their agentic workflows in a more thoughtful way.”
The impact of this partnership is expected to be profound from the end-customer perspective. Chadha explained, “The impact is really just from the end-customer perspective, because now they can truly see the benefit of a production enterprise-ready agentic platform. Those workflows, those Genies are just going to really help accelerate customers’ innovation.” She further elaborated that this shift is not merely about productivity but about leveraging agents to achieve results “quicker, faster,” which has already led to many end customers generating new revenue streams, citing examples like banks developing new pricing vehicles or banking methods.
From AWS’s standpoint, Workato’s capabilities integrate efficiently with key enterprise tools for building agentic AI platforms, including AgentCore, which provides enterprise-grade services for deploying AI agents at scale. Chadha affirmed, “It’s all of the guiding principles that we have alongside all the technology that we’ve developed with Bedrock, with AgentCore, with AWS Marketplace, with Guardrails, with Transform, with all the chipsets that we have. Workato is taking all of that and then building it in and embedding it into their platforms.”

This collaboration underscores a growing industry trend where AI agents are becoming autonomous decision-makers and action-takers, moving beyond simple task automation. Deloitte predicts that 25% of organizations currently using Generative AI will launch agentic AI pilots in 2025, a figure expected to double by 2027, indicating a rapid adoption of this transformative technology across various sectors, including customer experience where agentic AI is set to drive significant changes by handling complex, multi-step, and hyper-personalized customer journeys at scale with minimal human intervention.
