TLDR: The Mark Cuban Foundation, in collaboration with Notified, is bringing a complimentary Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp to Omaha this fall, targeting high school students, particularly those from underserved communities, to provide hands-on experience with AI tools and concepts.
The Mark Cuban Foundation, in partnership with Notified, is set to host a free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Bootcamp for high school students in Omaha, Nebraska, this fall. This initiative aims to provide equitable access to AI education for underserved youth, including girls, students of color, first-generation college-goers, and those from low-income backgrounds. The program will run over three consecutive Saturdays – November 1, 8, and 15, 2025 – from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. All costs, including meals, transportation assistance, and necessary technology, will be covered for participants.
The 20-hour curriculum is designed to give students in grades 9-12 practical experience with cutting-edge AI tools, including generative AI. It will delve into what AI is and isn’t, explore its ethical implications, and demonstrate real-world applications across various fields such as healthcare, arts, business, computer science, sports science, and career readiness. A key component of the bootcamp is a capstone project, which students will complete under the guidance of industry mentors.
Erik Carlson, CEO at Notified, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to contribute to the program’s curriculum that mentors the next generation in AI innovation and application.” Mark Cuban, founder of the Mark Cuban Foundation, reiterated the program’s core mission: “Our goal is to ensure that every interested student, regardless of background or resources, can explore AI and its limitless possibilities.”
Since its inception in 2019, the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp has reached thousands of students nationwide, working to bridge the digital divide. The 2025 program introduces a new element: a dedicated Teacher Fellow at each location. These local educators will receive support through a year-long paid fellowship, running from March 2025 to May 2026. Charlotte Dungan, Chief Learning Officer at the Mark Cuban Foundation, emphasized the broader impact, noting, “By equipping underserved students and educators with practical AI skills and ethical insights, we’re actively working toward equity in education and preparing young people for the future.”
