Google Cloud India has officially cemented its place in the record books, earning a Guinness World Records title for hosting the ‘Largest AI Agent Training Event’. This monumental achievement took place during the company’s Agentic AI Day 2025, held on July 27 in collaboration with Hack2Skill. The event saw an impressive gathering of over 2,000 developers, with 1,941 officially adjudicated to break the world record. These participants formed more than 700 AI-first teams, engaging in a high-energy, 30-hour innovation sprint.
The hackathon focused on addressing six critical real-world problem statements, ranging from urban data overload to personalized financial coaching. Participants leveraged Google Cloud’s robust AI ecosystem, including powerful tools such as Gemini 2.5 Pro, Vertex AI, AI Studio, and Firebase Studio, to build functional Minimum Viable Products (MVPs).
According to a Google spokesperson, “We are incredibly proud to have been recognized by Guinness World Records for this achievement. Agentic AI Day was more than just a training session; it was a testament to the future of AI. Our goal is to empower developers to build intelligent agents that can solve real-world problems, and this event proved that our platform is ready to support that vision at an unparalleled scale.” Sashi Sreedharan, Managing Director at Google Cloud India, added, “I am immensely impressed with the incredible talent pool in India and the palpable enthusiasm at the event. The event garnered significant attention, with over 57,000 registrations and exceeding 1 million online impressions, demonstrating the immense interest in Agentic AI. Google experts provided continuous mentorship throughout the hackathon, leading to the creation of over 500 prototypes. Notable projects included ‘Arealis Agents’ for managing city data, ‘GuruMitra’ an offline-first AI platform supporting 22+ Indian languages, ‘Blue Bird’ which developed CrowdSense for public event safety, ‘Kovai Shines’ an AI Farming Companion, and ‘Raah’ which launched Raseed, an AI-powered receipt manager.
