Adecco Revolutionizes Recruitment with Large-Scale AI Agent Deployment

TLDR: The Adecco Group has successfully implemented its first large-scale AI agentic system, Agentforce, in partnership with Salesforce. This initiative, initially rolled out in the UK, aims to enhance recruitment efficiency by automating high-volume tasks, freeing up recruiters for more meaningful candidate engagement. The system has already shown positive results in filling vacancies and improving candidate satisfaction.

The Adecco Group, a global leader in talent solutions, announced on July 30, 2025, the successful completion of its inaugural large-scale deployment of an AI agentic system. This significant technological advancement, powered by Salesforce’s Agentforce platform, marks a pivotal step in integrating artificial intelligence into Adecco’s operational framework, particularly within its recruitment processes.

The initial phase of this AI agent rollout commenced six months prior in the UK, focusing on supporting Adecco’s recruiters with high-volume, time-sensitive tasks such as candidate pre-screening. The primary objective of this deployment is to streamline early-stage interactions, thereby allowing human recruiters to dedicate more time to assessing soft skills and conducting in-depth follow-up conversations. As stated by the staffing firm, AI agents are designed to provide recruiters with lists of engaged, pre-screened candidates ready for contact at the start of each day, enhancing efficiency and responsiveness.

Niki Turner-Harding, Managing Director, Adecco UK & Ireland, emphasized the human-centric approach of this technological integration, stating, ‘Pioneering AI-enabled, human-centric solutions in the UK is incredibly exciting – for us, tech should empower people, not replace them.’ She further added, ‘By combining our recruiters’ expertise with AI’s always-on engagement, we’re achieving faster, more tailored outcomes, and responding immediately at times that suit our candidates. At the core of everything we do is human connection, and that’s something we won’t compromise on.’

The Adecco Group reported that the first wave of this implementation has already facilitated 28 companies in successfully filling their vacancies. The AI-powered tool has contacted thousands of candidates, with a significant number completing automated conversations and reporting a high satisfaction rating of 4.6 out of 5. Notably, over half (57%) of these candidates completed the automated interaction.

This deployment is part of a broader strategy by The Adecco Group to introduce AI across its entire portfolio of talent and technology solutions, encompassing brands such as Adecco, LHH, Akkodis, Pontoon, Qapa, Ezra, and General Assembly. This includes workforce strategy development, talent attraction, recruitment and deployment, learning, development, coaching, and AI and data consulting through Akkodis.

Denis Machuel, CEO of The Adecco Group, highlighted the transformative potential of AI in the recruitment industry, stating, ‘AI will be a force multiplier for the recruitment industry, enabling incredible levels of high-touch service to both talent and clients.’ He added, ‘We believe that AI has the power to completely transform the recruitment industry, adding value and efficiency at every step of the hiring process.’

The partnership with Salesforce, which began with the launch of the new AI-powered platform ‘r.potential’ in April 2025, is central to this initiative. Adam Evans, EVP and GM, Salesforce AI, commented, ‘Companies are rethinking how work gets done as they use AI agents to scale their human workforces. The Adecco Group and Salesforce are partnering to drive this transformation – using Agentforce to make the recruiting process more convenient for candidates, and faster and more efficient for Adecco and their customers.’
