Zettabyte Secures Strategic Investment from Lam Capital to Advance AI Data Center Infrastructure

TLDR: Zettabyte, a leader in AI data center infrastructure software, has received a strategic investment from Lam Capital, the venture arm of Lam Research Corp. This funding round, which also included Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron, will support Zettabyte’s global expansion and the development of its Zsuite platform, aimed at optimizing AI compute environments.

TAIPEI – Zettabyte, a rapidly expanding innovator in AI data center infrastructure software, announced on August 1, 2025, a significant strategic investment from Lam Capital, the corporate venture arm of Lam Research Corp., a global supplier of semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment and services. This funding round also saw participation from prominent technology manufacturers Wistron, Foxconn, and Pegatron.

Zettabyte is at the forefront of transforming the AI compute landscape by offering turnkey GPU cloud infrastructure as a service (IaaS) solutions designed for next-generation AI data centers. The company’s proprietary Zware platform is a comprehensive software stack that unifies the entire AI infrastructure, encompassing networking and full cluster management. A key feature of Zware is its advanced liquid cooling capabilities, which enable a sovereign systems architecture with a strong emphasis on cybersecurity, efficiency, and scalability.

Kevin Chen, managing director at Lam Capital, commented on the investment, stating, ‘Zettabyte operates at the intersection of two megatrends: AI and infrastructure. This investment highlights the importance of supporting the advancement of next-generation AI data center infrastructure solutions to enable the next wave of innovation across the semiconductor ecosystem.’

The investment underscores the growing demand for AI infrastructure, particularly as GPU computing continues to outpace supply in the generative AI era. Zettabyte’s vertically integrated software-hardware model is specifically designed to address this supply-demand gap by optimizing every layer of AI compute environments.

Proceeds from this funding round will be utilized to support Zettabyte’s global expansion initiatives and accelerate the development of its Zsuite platform. Zsuite is engineered for end-to-end optimizations and IaaS, aiming to significantly reduce the total cost of ownership for both enterprise and public-sector customers.
