US AI Startups Secure Over $100 Million in Funding: 33 Companies Achieve Mega-Rounds in 2025

As reported by TechCrunch, the current year has already seen numerous billion-dollar valuations and several firms completing repeat mega-round investments. The surge in capital highlights AI’s expanding influence across diverse industries, from healthcare and legal technology to infrastructure and enterprise software.

Key Funding Rounds and Valuations in 2025:

August:

EliseAI, a healthcare and housing automation platform, secured $250 million in a Series E round, pushing its valuation to $2.2 billion. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz.

Decart, an AI research laboratory, raised $100 million at a $3.1 billion valuation. Investors included Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Zeev Ventures.

July:

Fal, a generative media platform, completed a $125 million Series C round, reaching a $1.5 billion valuation, led by Meritech Capital Partners.

Ambience Healthcare, a developer of an AI healthcare operating system, raised $243 million in a Series C round. Oak HC/FT and Andreessen Horowitz led the investment, with participation from Kleiner Perkins and the OpenAI Startup Fund.

Reka AI secured $110 million in a Series B round, valuing the company at $1 billion. Snowflake and Nvidia were among the key investors.

Thinking Machines Lab, an AI research firm, raised a substantial $2 billion in a seed round, achieving a $12 billion valuation. This round was led by Andreessen Horowitz and included Nvidia and Accel.

OpenEvidence, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, raised $210 million in a Series B round, valuing the company at $3.5 billion. Kleiner Perkins and GV led this investment.

Harmonic, focusing on mathematical reasoning, raised $100 million in a Series B round, with a valuation of $875 million, led by Kleiner Perkins.

ElevenLabs, a synthetic voice startup, raised $180 million in a Series C round, co-led by ICONIQ Growth and Andreessen Horowitz, with a valuation exceeding $3 billion.

Hippocratic AI, which develops large language models for the healthcare sector, raised $141 million in a Series B round led by Kleiner Perkins, valuing the company at over $1.6 billion.

Abridge, a healthcare AI unicorn, raised $300 million in a Series E round led by Andreessen Horowitz, valuing the company at $5.3 billion. Khosla Ventures also participated.

Tennr, another healthcare AI startup, completed a $101 million Series C round led by IVP.
