Telnyx Launches Paris GPU Edge to Revolutionize European Voice AI with Sub-200ms Latency

TLDR: Telnyx has significantly enhanced its European voice AI capabilities by activating a new GPU-acceleraccelerated Voice-AI Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Paris, France. This strategic move allows Telnyx to achieve sub-200ms round-trip time (RTT) for voice AI agents across Europe, ensuring more natural and instantaneous conversations. The initiative also emphasizes data sovereignty, keeping all AI prompts and data within EU borders for compliance.

AUSTIN, Texas – July 31, 2025 – Telnyx, a leading vertically integrated operator specializing in low-latency voice AI agents, today announced the activation of its new GPU-accelerated Voice-AI Point-of-Presence (PoP) in Paris, France. This significant development is set to redefine real-time voice AI experiences across Europe by breaking the critical 200-millisecond latency barrier.

By strategically embedding its inference stack directly within the same data halls as its pan-European telephony core, Telnyx can now deliver a remarkable sub-200ms round-trip time (RTT) to end-users throughout the continent. RTT, which measures the time it takes for audio to travel from the end-user to Telnyx and back, is a crucial factor in creating engaging and natural conversations that do not suffer from noticeable delays.

Ian Reither, COO of Telnyx, emphasized the importance of this achievement, stating, “Latency is the silent killer of Voice AI. Every millisecond counts. By colocating our GPU inference with our private backbone in Paris, we’re redefining what ‘real time’ means for European businesses. We shave off delay at its source and deliver voice AI experiences that feel instantaneous and lifelike, without your data ever leaving the region.”

This new infrastructure is designed for both speed and data sovereignty. By performing speech recognition, orchestration, and synthesis directly at the Paris PoP, audio data never needs to be routed through a distant cloud. This approach not only sharpens Telnyx’s edge in delivering high-impact Voice AI Agents to European customers but also ensures full compliance with regulations such as GDPR, DORA, and local data retention requirements, as all data and AI prompts remain within EU borders.
