TLDR: Starkey has launched its new flagship Omega AI hearing aid line, featuring DNN 360 technology for enhanced sound quality and speech intelligibility, along with generative AI support tools, improved durability, and health-tracking innovations.
Starkey has officially unveiled its groundbreaking new flagship product line, Omega AI, on October 9, 2025, marking a significant leap forward in hearing aid technology. Introduced at Starkey Days 2025 in Minneapolis, the Omega AI platform is designed to set a new gold standard for intelligent hearing solutions, offering superior sound quality, enhanced durability, and pioneering “healthable” features.
At the core of the Omega AI is the innovative DNN 360 Directional system, described as the world’s first deep neural network–powered directionality and spatial awareness feature. This advanced technology continuously adapts to real-world environments, enabling users to seamlessly transition between conversations from any direction while maintaining a natural sense of spatial awareness. According to company testing, Omega AI reportedly delivers up to a 28% improvement in speech intelligibility in challenging environments and an 8 dB signal-to-noise ratio improvement for clearer hearing. These advancements are achieved without compromising Starkey’s impressive 51 hours of battery life or water resistance.
The Omega AI platform also integrates generative AI assistance, notably through its TeleHear AI feature, which provides real-time hearing support. This addition builds upon the existing Edge AI platform, enhancing it with DNN-based directional sound processing and proactive wellness tracking.
Durability has been significantly improved in the Omega AI devices. The new line features waterproofing tested to last 10 times longer than previous coatings under the toughest conditions. Furthermore, Starkey has introduced smart visibility with new green and red LED indicator lights on RIC RT and mRIC R devices, confirming power and Bluetooth connection at a glance. These LEDs also double as an industry-first “find-my-hearing-aid” tool, helping patients quickly locate misplaced devices.
Beyond hearing enhancement, Omega AI incorporates health-focused innovations. These include the Balance Builder and automatic respiratory tracking, promoting daily health and wellness.
Brandon Sawalich, President and CEO of Starkey, emphasized the company’s commitment to innovation, stating, “When excellence drives every process—innovation, quality, service, and delivery—great things happen. Since being the first to introduce AI technology in hearing aids, Starkey has continued to set the speed of innovation for the industry. We are once again excited to push the boundaries of science and raise the bar of expectation for hearing professionals and their patients. Omega AI is an engineering feat only Starkey could accomplish, and it reflects our unwavering commitment to creating advanced technology that connects people back to their lives.”
