Spektr 2.0 Revolutionizes Fintech Compliance with Launch of AI Agent Builder

TLDR: Spektr has launched Spektr 2.0, a modular compliance platform featuring an AI Agent Builder. This no-code tool allows fintechs to create customizable AI agents for various compliance processes, including customer risk assessment, onboarding, and monitoring, aiming to automate and enhance efficiency while maintaining transparency and auditability.

Spektr, a prominent compliance infrastructure platform for fintech innovators, has announced the release of Spektr 2.0, a significant overhaul of its compliance architecture designed for enhanced flexibility and speed. Central to this new version is the innovative AI Agent Builder, a no-code solution empowering compliance teams to develop intelligent, customizable agents for a wide array of compliance functions, including customer risk assessment, onboarding, and continuous monitoring processes.

Just a year ago, Spektr focused on helping financial firms transition from manual, spreadsheet-based operations and fragmented compliance systems. Learning from client feedback, Spektr has evolved into a comprehensive, end-to-end compliance platform. Spektr 2.0 now orchestrates various critical functions through deeply modular APIs, encompassing onboarding, ongoing monitoring, merchant reviews, continuous Know Your Customer (KYC), risk assessment, Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing, and support for credit and fraud checks.

The introduction of AI agents and a modular design in Spektr 2.0 reflects a pivotal shift in both technology and market expectations. Historically, leveraging AI for complex, context-rich compliance decisions was considered unfeasible. However, AI capabilities have reached an inflection point, leading compliance teams to demand real-time, explainable, and highly adaptable solutions. Spektr aims to lead this transformation by providing the necessary compliance infrastructure for fintechs to thrive in the next wave of innovation.

At the core of Spektr 2.0, the AI Agent Builder functions as a no-code workflow designer, specifically crafted to automate intricate compliance logic. This tool enables teams to precisely define agent behavior, integrate diverse data sources, establish human-in-the-loop review processes, and configure alerts or escalation paths. The platform emphasizes transparency, customizability, and auditability at every stage, ensuring compliance teams retain full control over their processes.

Mikkel Skarnager, co-founder and CEO of Spektr, articulated the company’s long-term vision, stating, “Our long-term vision is to let companies automate as much as possible, without ever compromising on quality or scrutiny. With spektr 2.0, customers can choose exactly what should be handled by AI and what needs human judgment, adjusting for their own risk appetite, industry, or jurisdiction.”

This commitment to configurable automation is echoed by Jeremy Joly, Spektr’s co-founder and CPO, who added, “We don’t force automation; instead, we give teams full configurability, whether they want to rely on advanced agents or keep humans closely involved at every stage.”

Spektr 2.0’s AI capabilities extend to various specific areas, including KYB AI, Doc Review AI, Website Checker AI, Address Checker AI, Source of Funds AI, Network Discovery AI, Industry AI, and License AI, further enhancing the platform’s comprehensive approach to compliance.
