SINGAPORE – August 6, 2025 – SHARP, a leading innovator in consumer technology, has officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the AQUOS R10, in Singapore. Launched on August 6, 2025, the AQUOS R10 is engineered to deliver an unparalleled immersive entertainment experience, integrating cutting-edge display, audio, and camera technologies with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
At the heart of the AQUOS R10’s visual prowess is its Pro IGZO OLED display, boasting an impressive peak brightness of 3,000 nits. This represents a 1.5-fold increase over previous models, significantly enhancing contrast and rendering intricate textures with remarkable realism. The smartphone also incorporates ‘Virtual HDR’ technology, which brightens and enriches even non-HDR content from video streaming services, ensuring vivid and dynamic visuals.
For an auditory experience that rivals live performances, the AQUOS R10 is equipped with newly developed full-metal box speakers. These large top and bottom mounted speakers deliver powerful and rich stereo sound, complemented by Dolby Atmos® spatial audio technology. Furthermore, new acoustic technology intelligently regulates frequency response based on volume, ensuring high and low frequencies remain clear and audible even at lower sound levels. For headphone users, ‘8Way Audio’ technology transforms sound output into an immersive spatial audio experience.
AI is a cornerstone of the AQUOS R10’s innovative features. The device includes generative AI-based call support, which automatically extracts keywords from conversations and saves them as notes. If a date and time are detected, the AI can even suggest adding the event to a calendar application, streamlining scheduling. In photography, AI-driven image processing significantly enhances detail and tonal gradation in both zoom and night modes, surpassing the quality of RAW data. An additional AI feature can remove unwanted shadows, now supporting not only food photography but also text in documents.
Photography on the AQUOS R10 is further elevated by a camera system supervised by Leica Camera AG. It features a new 1/1.55-inch image sensor designed to reduce noise in darker areas, enabling more beautiful night photography. A 14-channel spectral sensor ensures accurate color reproduction in diverse lighting environments, closely mimicking real-world hues.
Under the hood, the AQUOS R10 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chipset, the same robust processor found in its predecessor, the AQUOS R9. However, this iteration comes with an improved 12GB of RAM and a larger 512GB of internal storage, with expandable storage up to 1TB via microSD card. The smartphone also maintains Sharp’s commitment to durability, featuring MIL-STD-810-compliant shock resistance and IPX5/IPX8/IP6X ratings for water and dust resistance.
