Salesforce has achieved a significant milestone, being recognized as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Low-Code and No-Code Developer Technologies 2025 Vendor Assessment. This inaugural report from IDC underscores the growing prominence of low-code and no-code platforms within the broader IT landscape. A staggering 80% of IT organizations currently leverage these development tools, highlighting their centrality to modern IT strategies.

The report further emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between low-code/no-code technologies and artificial intelligence. With companies increasingly adopting agentic AI, these development tools have become even more crucial. Data from the report indicates that 78% of developers believe low-code and no-code solutions are instrumental in scaling AI development efforts.

Salesforce’s success in this domain is attributed to its AI-powered, no-code, and low-code tools, which effectively bridge the gap between administrators and developers. Alice Steinglass, EVP and GM, Salesforce Platform, Integration and Automation, stated, “Salesforce bridges the gap between admins and developers with its AI-powered, no-code and low-code tools, enabling hybrid teams to collaboratively build, test, and release AI agents and applications at scale.” She further added, “And we are continuing to invest in the next-generation of AI-powered tools like Agentforce for Developers to help teams turn ideas into elegant business solutions on Salesforce.”

Key innovations and strengths highlighted in the report include Salesforce’s enterprise agent development ecosystem, its comprehensive low-code and pro-code tools for agent development, and the scalability, enterprise integration, and Agentforce API. The company was also recognized for fostering collaboration and observability across teams. Salesforce’s commitment to this area is evident through initiatives like AgentExchange, a marketplace for partners developing Agentforce solutions, unveiled at TDX 2025. Additionally, AI-assisted low-code development tools such as Agentforce for Developers automate routine coding tasks, including code writing, logic explanation, and test case generation.
