Rice University Establishes New Assistant Director Position for AI in Education

Collaboration with internal partners, such as the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Transformational Technology and Innovation unit, is also a crucial aspect of the role. Rice University is seeking a candidate with a strong background in instructional design, familiarity with generative AI tools, and proven experience in strategic faculty engagement. Applicants must possess a minimum of four years of professional experience in relevant fields such as academic innovation or instructional design. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement with an annual salary range of $96,000–$106,000.
