Primebook Unveils 2 Pro and 2 Max AI-Powered Laptops in India, Starting Under ₹20,000

TLDR: Primebook has launched its second-generation Android-powered laptops, the Primebook 2 Pro and 2 Max, in India. These new models, priced under ₹20,000, feature AI integration, larger displays, faster MediaTek Helio G99 processors, and run on Android 15-based PrimeOS 3.0, targeting students, freelancers, and young professionals with affordable, high-performance computing.

New Delhi, India – September 17, 2025 – Primebook, a pioneer in Android laptops in India, has officially introduced its latest offerings, the Primebook 2 Pro and Primebook 2 Max. These new AI-powered laptops are designed to make advanced computing accessible and affordable, with prices starting under ₹20,000. The launch expands Primebook’s second-generation lineup, building on the success of the Primebook 2 Neo by offering enhanced specifications and integrated artificial intelligence features.

Both the Primebook 2 Pro and 2 Max operate on PrimeOS 3.0, an Android 15-based operating system specifically optimized for laptop use. At their core, these devices are powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 processor, coupled with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, ensuring robust performance for multitasking and productivity.

Key specifications for the new models include:

Primebook 2 Pro: Features a 14.1-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display and comes with 128GB of UFS storage. It boasts an impressive battery life of up to 14 hours.

Primebook 2 Max: Offers a larger 15.6-inch Full HD IPS anti-glare display and doubles the storage to 256GB UFS. This model provides up to 12 hours of battery backup.

Shared features across both laptops include high-resolution 1440p webcams, dual stereo speakers for immersive audio, and dual noise-cancelling microphones for clear communication. Connectivity is robust with dual USB-A and USB-C ports supporting fast charging, and storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a MicroSD slot. Both models also come equipped with backlit keyboards and are available in a sleek Chill Grey finish.

A significant highlight of these new laptops is their embedded AI and productivity features, tailored for the modern user:

AI Companion: A contextually aware assistant powered by Gemini, accessible through a dedicated keyboard key, offering intelligent support.

AI-powered Global Search: Provides instant access to files, settings, and generative AI answers, streamlining workflows and information retrieval.

PrimeCoding: An offline coding platform designed for beginners, fostering educational and development opportunities.

Cloud PC: Enables users to stream Windows and Linux desktops, offering versatility in operating environments.

Chitranshu Mahant, CEO and Co-founder of Primebook, emphasized the company’s vision, stating, “In the under-₹20,000 laptop segment, we noticed a clear gap. There wasn’t a laptop that could truly deliver speed and multitasking at scale. That insight led us to launch our generation 2 line-up, beginning with the Primebook 2 Neo. With the Pro and Max, we’re extending that same innovation further, offering larger displays, faster processors, and higher storage options.”

Aman Verma, Co-founder and COO of Primebook, added, “Primebook has always stood for making technology more accessible and meaningful for today’s generation. With the Generation 2, including the latest Pro and Max, we aim to affirm that laptops don’t have to be complicated or out of reach to be powerful.”
