OutSystems Introduces Agent Workbench to Empower Enterprise AI Agent Development

TLDR: OutSystems has launched its Agent Workbench, an early access program designed to enable enterprises to build, scale, and orchestrate intelligent AI agents with robust security and control. This new offering aims to simplify the integration of agentic AI into existing business applications and workflows, addressing common challenges like fragmented tools and stalled AI initiatives.

BOSTON – OutSystems, a prominent provider of AI-powered low-code development platforms, announced today the Early Access Program for its new offering, OutSystems Agent Workbench. This innovative platform is engineered to empower enterprises in creating and orchestrating intelligent AI agents for a wide array of use cases, spanning various departments, workflows, and data sources, all while maintaining enterprise-grade security and control.

Delivered on OutSystems’ established platform, Agent Workbench is set to streamline the process for leaders to accelerate innovation and foster effective human-AI collaboration. The solution is specifically designed to transform existing business applications, workflows, and tools into intelligent, ‘agentic’ systems capable of reasoning, planning, and acting autonomously.

Woodson Martin, CEO of OutSystems, highlighted the current challenges faced by organizations in their AI adoption journey. “Organizations are excited by the promise of AI and agentic systems, but are struggling with endless pilots and ungoverned tool sprawl while the business impact stalls. Legacy systems, siloed data, fragmented AI tools, and complex AI development cycles are slowing progress,” Martin stated. He further emphasized the platform’s purpose, adding, “We built Agent Workbench to make it possible to unlock custom agents as a true business enabler—not an experiment.”
