Oriane Unveils Advanced AI Video Search Engine to Enhance Social Media Content Visibility

TLDR: Oriane has launched an innovative AI-powered search engine designed to provide brands and creators with unprecedented visibility into how their video content performs across major social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Utilizing multimodal AI, the engine analyzes video content itself, moving beyond traditional metadata tracking to offer deep insights into content spread and engagement. The company recently secured $1.5 million in pre-seed funding to fuel its development and aims to become the ‘Google of video content’.

Oriane, an AI-powered video search engine company, is set to transform the digital landscape with the introduction of its groundbreaking AI-powered search engine for videos. Launched on October 18, 2025, this innovation addresses a critical ‘blind spot’ in video visibility, offering brands and creators unparalleled insights into the journey of their content across dominant social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Traditional social listening tools have long been limited to tracking metadata like hashtags, captions, and mentions. Oriane, however, leverages cutting-edge AI vision, audio, and speech models to analyze the actual content within videos. This multimodal approach allows the engine to detect specific objects, people, products, logos, and even sound elements, providing a comprehensive understanding of how videos are being reposted, remixed, or referenced, even when not explicitly tagged.

‘Oriane watches videos the way humans do. It’s how we deliver relevant results among millions of videos,’ stated a company representative. This capability is particularly crucial given that video content accounted for over 91% of online traffic in 2024, yet brands and creators have struggled to gain true visibility into their content’s reach and impact.

Lucas Mesquita, Managing Partner at Clint Capital, emphasized the strategic importance of Oriane’s technology, stating, ‘Oriane’s promise is to power rightsholders’ creative circularity by becoming the go-to search engine for video.’ Felix Hartmann, Managing Partner of Hartmann Capital, further highlighted its relevance: ‘Generative AI and short-form video are two of the biggest cultural trends of 2025. Oriane is building the connective tissue between AI and the world’s video libraries, making content truly searchable and understandable.’

Oriane’s ambitious vision is to become the ‘Google of video content,’ revolutionizing how brands and creators interact with the video-first internet. Julien Rosilio, CEO and co-founder of Oriane, articulated this need, noting that ‘the internet has undergone a seismic shift towards video, but their ability to search and extract information from it has lagged far behind. Traditional search engines are ill-equipped to handle the nuances of visual and auditory data. They are building Oriane to be the definitive solution, enabling users to find precisely what they’re looking for, no matter how deeply embedded it is within a video.’

To support its development, Oriane successfully secured $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round. This investment saw participation from prominent investors including Clint Capital (FR), Hartmann Capital (US), Secways (ES), Archipelago Next (IC), and strategic angel investors from major tech companies like Google, PayPal, Sony, and Jellysmack. The funding is primarily allocated to expanding Oriane’s engineering team, refining its AI models, and scaling its infrastructure. The company had planned a private beta launch in early 2024, indicating a steady progression towards its public offering.
