TLDR: Oracle is significantly enhancing its Fusion Applications suite by deeply integrating sophisticated AI agents, aiming to automate complex tasks, provide actionable insights, and fundamentally transform enterprise workflows across various business functions. This initiative, bolstered by the new Oracle AI Agent Studio, empowers businesses to achieve unprecedented productivity gains and operational efficiency.
In a strategic move poised to redefine enterprise software, Oracle has announced the deep integration of advanced AI agents into its comprehensive Fusion Applications suite. This initiative is set to usher in a new era of enterprise productivity, offering richer insights and a fundamentally new operational paradigm for global businesses.
According to Miranda Nash, Group Vice President responsible for Oracle’s AI strategy, the core strength of these AI agents lies in four critical capabilities: language understanding, contextual awareness, the ability to utilize various tools, and sophisticated reasoning. Nash emphasizes that this reasoning capability is what truly differentiates Oracle’s agent-based automation from previous generations of automation tools. “What differentiates agent-based automation from past phases is reasoning, so the reasoning capability of the models means that some of the decision making can be left to the model. This allows us to go much, much faster and have better versatility in the face of real world, unexpected conditions,” Nash stated.
Unlike siloed bots or add-on assistants, Oracle’s AI agents are seamlessly embedded directly into existing workflows across critical business functions, including finance, human resources, and supply chain management. This deep integration ensures that customers automatically receive these powerful enhancements through regular application updates, making the capabilities readily available within their current Oracle products.
The tangible impact of these AI agents is already being observed. Nash cited a notable example involving a large hospitality customer who experienced a doubling of goal completion rates within their HR processes after deploying the embedded AI agents. “We’ve seen basically a two times improvement in terms of the completion rate. Without AI versus with AI, folks are 100% more likely to complete the task,” she added.
Further empowering businesses, Oracle has also launched the Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications. This comprehensive platform enables customers and partners to create, extend, deploy, and manage custom AI agents tailored to their unique business needs. Steve Miranda, executive vice president of applications at Oracle, highlighted the significance of this development, stating, “AI agents are the next phase of evolution in enterprise applications and just like with existing applications, business leaders need the flexibility to create specific functionality to address their unique and evolving business needs.” He further noted that the AI Agent Studio builds on the 50+ AI agents Oracle has already introduced, providing unparalleled flexibility.

The AI Agent Studio provides a robust set of tools, including agent template libraries for easy creation with natural language prompts, and orchestration tools for managing teams of agents collaborating on multi-step processes. It supports native integration with Fusion Applications APIs and knowledge stores, as well as secure connectivity with third-party systems. Crucially, the studio incorporates built-in validation, testing, and a comprehensive trust and security framework, ensuring that AI-driven workflows are reliable, accurate, and compliant with enterprise security standards. This platform is available to customers at no additional cost, leveraging the same technology Oracle uses to develop its own AI agents.
