TLDR: OpenLegacy Hub, an AI-driven legacy modernization platform, is now accessible within the newly launched AI Agents and Tools category on the AWS Marketplace. This integration aims to streamline the discovery, purchase, and deployment of AI agent solutions for modernizing mainframe and IBM i systems, facilitating their integration into modern cloud-based AI workflows.

OpenLegacy, a prominent provider of AI-driven, low-code/no-code solutions for legacy modernization, has announced the availability of its OpenLegacy Hub in the new AI Agents and Tools category of AWS Marketplace. This strategic move is designed to offer customers a simplified pathway to discover, acquire, and deploy AI agent solutions, including OpenLegacy’s advanced platform, directly through their existing AWS accounts. The initiative is set to accelerate the development of AI agents and agentic workflows by enabling the seamless modernization of mainframe and IBM i legacy systems into contemporary cloud-based AI environments.

The OpenLegacy Hub is engineered to unlock the full potential of an organization’s legacy data and business logic for various AI initiatives. It facilitates AI-driven modernization of legacy systems without the need for disruptive or high-risk migrations. The platform boasts the capability to rapidly generate AI-ready APIs from mainframe and IBM i systems, thereby exposing valuable data and business logic to modern AI platforms, chatbots, and analytics tools. Furthermore, it supports a phased, risk-free modernization strategy, ensuring business continuity throughout the transition of legacy environments to modern cloud-based architectures.

Leigh-Ann Silver, Head of Alliances and Marketing at OpenLegacy, commented on the development, stating, “By offering OpenLegacy Hub in AWS Marketplace we’re providing customers with a streamlined way to access to our AI-driven legacy modernization platform.” She further highlighted that customers across diverse sectors such as banking, insurance, retail, and manufacturing are already leveraging these capabilities to expose critical legacy systems, which in turn accelerates digital transformation and unlocks new revenue streams without disrupting mission-critical operations.

Key features of OpenLegacy Hub include AI-Driven Automation, which automatically generates modernization-ready APIs, effectively eliminating manual effort and bottlenecks associated with legacy systems. It also incorporates a Phased Coexistence Strategy, allowing both legacy and modern systems to operate in parallel, thus ensuring uninterrupted business operations during the modernization process. Additionally, the platform offers Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Support, enabling flexible deployment of modernized services across AWS and various hybrid environments.
