Olive by Embassy Unveils ‘Open Hotels’: India’s First AI-Native, Remotely Operated Hospitality Brand

TLDR: Olive by Embassy, the hospitality arm of India’s Embassy Group, has launched ‘Open Hotels,’ an AI-native and fully remote-operated hotel brand. Targeting the budget-to-midscale segment, Open Hotels aims to revolutionize hospitality through technology, offering features like virtual reception, AI-driven operations, and significantly reduced operational costs, with plans for rapid expansion across India and globally.

Bengaluru, India – Olive by Embassy, the innovative hospitality division of the prominent Indian real estate conglomerate Embassy Group, has officially launched ‘Open Hotels,’ marking a significant leap forward in the global hospitality sector. Positioned as the world’s first fully remote-operated and AI-native hotel brand, Open Hotels is set to redefine the budget-to-midscale hotel segment by prioritizing efficiency, convenience, and a tech-driven guest experience.

The new brand eliminates traditional front desk operations, replacing them with live video receptions handled centrally. This innovative approach, combined with advanced Voice AI and analytics, allows for a dramatic improvement in operational efficiency. According to Kahraman Yigit, CEO & Co-founder of Olive by Embassy, the staff-to-room ratio is reduced by an impressive 57 percent, dropping from 0.7 to 0.3. Yigit stated, “We were the first to run hotel receptions through video conferencing. Once we layered in Voice AI and analytics, guest satisfaction and profit margins surged. The tech was too powerful to keep to ourselves so we’re now offering it under Open Hotels.” He further emphasized that technology is not replacing hospitality but ‘elevating it’ by handling routine tasks, allowing a greater focus on guest experience.

Open Hotels offers two distinct operational models: a Franchise model, where hotel owners manage their staff while leveraging Open’s comprehensive plug-and-play tech stack, and a Full Management model, where Open’s centralized remote AI command center oversees all operations. Both models are designed to be CapEx-free, facilitating rapid and scalable deployment across various properties.

Currently, Open Hotels is already operational in 12 properties across key Indian cities, including Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, Vijayawada, and Chikmagalur. The company has ambitious expansion plans, aiming to integrate approximately 130 hotels within the current financial year and targeting 1,000 hotels across India by 2030. Furthermore, Olive by Embassy intends to expand the Open Hotels brand globally in the near future, having already filed a U.S. patent application for its Remote Hotel Management System.

Financially, Open Hotels projects to generate ₹200 crore in revenue within the current financial year (FY26). This aggressive growth strategy aligns with the significant potential identified in the Indian hospitality market, which, with over 2.5 million existing hotel rooms, is ripe for the emergence of a large-scale, tech-driven hotel brand. The brand’s focus on streamlining guest interactions from check-in to checkout through digital solutions underscores its commitment to modern travelers who value both innovation and affordability.
