TLDR: NCS, a subsidiary of the Singtel Group, has announced a significant S$130 million investment over the next three years to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence across the Asia Pacific region. The initiative is built on three pillars: Intelligentisation, Internationalisation, and Inspiration, and includes the launch of a new AI suite called Sunshine.AI and strategic partnerships with major technology players and government agencies.
Singapore-based technology services firm NCS is set to invest S$130 million over a three-year period in a major push to drive artificial intelligence (AI) transformation throughout the Asia Pacific. The comprehensive program is designed to accelerate AI adoption for governments and enterprises, structured around what the company terms the ‘three I’s’: Intelligentisation, Internationalisation, and Inspiration.
At the core of the ‘Intelligentisation’ pillar is the launch of Sunshine.AI, NCS’s proprietary suite of AI tools and accelerators. This suite is engineered to empower developers, IT operations teams, and corporate users. It features ‘Sunshine.Coder’, an AI assistant for programming language conversion; ‘Sunshine.Operations’, a platform for automating system log analysis; and ‘Sunshine.Productivity’, a collection of tools to streamline daily tasks like summarisation. The ‘Internationalisation’ pillar aims to expand NCS’s capabilities and collaborative efforts across various geographies and ecosystems. The ‘Inspiration’ pillar focuses on cultivating a vibrant community of AI practitioners and developing an AI-ready workforce of more than 10,000 individuals.
NCS CEO Ng Kuo Pin stated, “With AI reshaping industries as it becomes more accessible than before, we’re partnering government agencies and enterprises to help them harness the best of AI not just for efficiency gains but to advance communities.” He added, “The investment we are making over the next three years and our blueprint anchored by three pillars – Intelligentisation, Internationalisation and Inspiration – will better enable our people and clients to create new business outcomes and build a resilient, innovative future with AI.”
Underscoring the program’s significance, NCS has forged several strategic partnerships. A five-year Master Agreement with Singapore’s Home Team Science and Technology Agency (HTX) will focus on enhancing foundational data infrastructure, integrating Agentic AI into operational systems, and scaling robotics capabilities. NCS will also serve as the AI-implementation arm for its parent company, the Singtel Group, to drive operational transformation and optimize customer relations.
Further collaborations include working with Databricks to pilot new AI solutions for the finance, energy, and utilities sectors, and with Nvidia to expand the use of agentic AI for advanced video search, operational automation, and efficient issue resolution.

Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister, Gan Kim Yong, who was present at the NCS Impact 2025 forum, endorsed the initiative. “I am glad to note that NCS will invest $130 million over the next three years to support its clients in scaling AI adoption, through its proprietary suite of tools, methodologies and accelerators,” he said, emphasizing that NCS can help smaller firms benefit from AI by co-developing use cases and transforming business models.
