Mphasis Achieves Record $760 Million Contract Wins, Driven by Strong AI Adoption in Indian IT

TLDR: Mphasis has emerged as a leader in AI adoption within the Indian IT sector, securing a record $760 million in contract wins during the June quarter of FY26. A significant 68% of these new contracts were driven by Artificial Intelligence solutions, underscoring the company’s strategic focus and success in the evolving technology landscape.

Mphasis, a prominent IT services company, has announced a landmark achievement in its first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q1FY26), reporting its highest-ever quarterly Total Contract Value (TCV) wins of $760 million. This impressive performance, with 68% of the new contracts being AI-led, positions Mphasis at the forefront of AI adoption in the Indian IT industry. The company’s revenue for the quarter reached $437 million, marking a 1.0% quarter-over-quarter increase and a 6.5% year-over-year growth in constant currency.

The surge in AI-driven deals highlights a significant shift in enterprise strategies, with clients increasingly prioritizing efficiency-driven investments. Mphasis secured four large deals during the quarter, three of which exceeded $100 million each, further demonstrating its capability to secure substantial projects in the AI solutions market.

Nitin Rakesh, CEO of Mphasis, emphasized the transformative role of AI in the current business environment. He noted that AI is not only driving efficiency gains of 20-25% for enterprises but is also fundamentally reshaping the company’s offerings, sales approach, client engagement, and delivery mechanisms. This perspective is echoed by CFO Aravind Viswanathan, who identified AI as a dual lever for both scaling opportunities and margin improvement.

The company is targeting an ambitious EBIT margin of 14.75%-15.75% for FY26, a goal strongly supported by the accelerating adoption of AI across various industries. Mphasis has observed tangible benefits from its AI initiatives, including efficiency gains of 20-30%, a reduction in time-to-market by approximately 60%, and cost savings of 30-40% for clients. This marks a significant evolution from just two quarters prior, when AI-driven deals constituted only 30-35% of its wins, a figure that has now nearly doubled.
