Motley Secures $1.5 Million Pre-Seed Funding to Launch AI-Powered Business Reporting Platform

TLDR: Swiss-based startup Motley has successfully raised $1.5 million in a pre-seed funding round to launch its innovative AI-driven platform designed to automate and streamline business reporting. The platform aims to transform weeks of manual data compilation into minutes, enabling teams to focus on strategic insights and decision-making.

Motley, a Swiss-based technology startup, has announced the successful closure of a $1.5 million pre-seed funding round, coinciding with the official launch of its advanced AI-powered business reporting platform. The funding round saw significant participation, led by Seedcamp, with additional investments from Tiny VC, Kima Ventures, RTP Global, Founders AS, and a consortium of angel investors.

The newly launched platform is engineered to revolutionize how organizations generate business reports. It achieves this by seamlessly integrating with existing enterprise systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRMs), Business Intelligence (BI) tools, various databases, and spreadsheets. This connectivity allows Motley’s AI to automatically source relevant data, construct report-ready documents, and highlight crucial business context.

According to Motley, this automation dramatically reduces the time spent on report compilation from several weeks to mere minutes. This efficiency gain empowers business teams to shift their focus from laborious data gathering to in-depth analysis, strategic insights, and informed decision-making. The platform further enhances reporting utility by retaining historical context, analyzing sentiment, and offering actionable recommendations.

Motley’s platform is specifically designed to cater to a range of recurring reporting needs, such as regular business reviews, customer updates, and performance reports. Its core objective is to streamline reporting processes, foster improved collaboration among teams, and facilitate the conversion of raw information into tangible business actions.

The company was co-founded by a team of experienced professionals: Egor Kraev, formerly Head of AI at Wise; Artemy Belousov, an engineer from Yandex; and Yann Ranchere, former CFO and Partner at Anthemis. Their collective experience underscores a deep understanding of the challenges associated with traditional reporting methods.

Yann Ranchere, CEO of Motley, emphasized the company’s vision, stating, “At Motley, we believe reporting should empower strategic discussions, not dilute those. Today’s business teams spend billions of hours pulling data and preparing documents. Motley is here to turn that into a process measured in minutes, freeing companies to focus on impact.”
