SEOUL – Modusign, a prominent provider of electronic signature and contract management solutions, announced on August 28, 2025, a strategic partnership with artificial intelligence powerhouse Upstage. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to foster technical cooperation in developing Korea-specific contract specialized AI technology. This collaboration is set to revolutionize contract management by creating AI models and solutions meticulously optimized for the unique Korean business environment, as well as its electronic document and electronic signature systems.
Modusign, boasting an impressive client base of 320,000 and managing over 40 million contract data points, is poised to lead innovation in Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM). This encompasses the entire spectrum of contract processes, from initial creation and review to negotiation, execution, storage, and comprehensive analysis. The partnership will leverage Modusign’s vast industry data with Upstage’s cutting-edge generative AI model, ‘SOLAR Pro,’ and its robust document analysis engine, ‘Document Parse.’
The joint development efforts will focus on a suite of next-generation contract automation solutions. These include, but are not limited to, automatic contract classification and tagging, sophisticated risk factor identification, precise contract condition extraction and summarization, and efficient contract execution monitoring. With Upstage’s document processing solutions already gaining traction in the finance and public sectors, Modusign aims to significantly strengthen its foothold in the public contract AI market through this strategic alliance.
